Nestled away in a quiet residential neighborhood, Margate Manor is an assisted living facility with a unique personality. A smaller residence, its warmth, hospitality, and distinct charm are felt the minute you walk through the door. Our residents can frequently be seen using Margate Manor’s common areas; so, most likely, you will be greeted by friendly folks upon entering the building. Additionally, Margate Manor is situated on water, and most of our apartments have a beautiful, scenic lake view.
We’ve designed a wide variety of activities that are both social and therapeutic. Our full-time activities director offers an array of stimulating and exciting social programs. Our residents, in particular, enjoy participating in exercise sessions (especially chair tai chi!), art classes, local outings, and many of the other activities that are offered.
We understand that you must feel comfortable where you live, and we want you to feel comfortable here. We have accomplished this by designing apartments with a cozy, homelike atmosphere. You can choose from a variety of apartment layouts to suit you. You may bring your own furniture and mementos so you can be surrounded by things you love.

My brother is at Margate Manor. It is a smaller home. They don't have as many people. It's very hands-on. They make it very easy for me because, up until I put him there, I was the one that was doing all of his medications, and they take care of all of that for me. They also have a primary care physician who is on call and visits the patients once a month. I'm able to talk to him to get referrals to see my brother's doctors. My brother is in a studio with his own bathroom. The place is much older, but my brother seems to be happy there. They have a library. They don't have a barbershop. They have activities during the day for their residents. They have two TV rooms and a pool table room. They have a set menu, and they could always order off the menu, too. They have some activities, like bingo, little games every Friday, and a happy hour. My brother seems to like everything. It's affordable for us.

I visited Margate Manor. I liked that there were staff there 24 hours a day. When we were there, they actually had a singer in the common area, and he was singing Frank Sinatra's songs. They had field trips. They went to the casino once in a while and they went on shopping. They took them to doctor's appointments. They could go to the movies, or they could just sit and watch movies there. They served 3 meals a day. They had laundry service, and they had people came in there to do some salon stuff. It is smaller and more intimate.

The Margate Manor assisted living community was recommended by a friend in the region. My friend and I were looking at options for his mother.
The outside area looked modern, well kept and the small nearby lake was beautiful.
There was bright light everywhere. Because the weather is so mild, the residents may enjoy walks along the lake and spend time outdoors on a near year round basis.
Seniors enjoy sight seeing, nature walks and cultural events in the region.The staff appeared to accommodate all levels of ambulation. Residents are taken on many outings into the area's vibrant community to enjoy all that it has to offer.
The residents are encouraged to take yoga and aerobics classes and use equipment daily.
The food we saw looked and smelled delicious. he dining areas offered the kind of spectacular food that you would find in an elegant restaurant. The menus included food options for all kinds of diets.
Private units featured beautifully decorated surroundings, many with nice views. All had a great deal of natural light and fresh air, through large windows.
The interior design was lovely throughout. The seniors appeared content here, with good care from kind and attentive staff.
