Azpira at Windermere was fantastic, absolutely amazing, love it, love it. My husband will move there. Very professional and very, very open, and caring staff. I really liked what I saw and felt. I felt that they were very genuine. I thought the rooms looked very, very nice. We basically looked at the studio, which was adequate for his needs. So, no issue whatsoever. I saw the ladies in the game room, I saw one of the residents there in physical therapy at that particular moment in time, which is connected to the gym. We went outside in the courtyard, because this is located on the lake. It is absolutely beautiful. The building looked well-kept. It was clean, and I liked that. The staff member who toured me impressed me beyond words, and she's a registered nurse. Those things were what tipped me to lean towards Azpira.

Love Azpira at Windermere! Incredibly happy residents and the staff is just as amazing. I have toured other nearby places and nothing can even come close to the experience I had there.

My biggest complaint is that they do not give medicine as prescribed. They are constantly forgetting. In fact they actually told me that I should keep track of my medication. However I believe that is their job. That is one of the reasons I am here. Also I am supposed to have a blood test every three weeks. They never remember so I always have to remind them to do it. Also, the time waiting to answer my buzz is ridiculous. It’s never less than 1/2 hour and usually much longer. They also told me that my buzzer would go off automatically. if I fell on the floor. I tested it and it did not.
It doesn’t really matter how nice The facility is if the staff doesn’t do their job.

We chose the Sheridan at Windermere, and my mother-in-law moved in there. I'm very happy with it, the staff is great, they do everything they say they're going to do, and she seems to be happy there. They have an exercise room, an activity room, and they have a lobby where they have music and entertainment. They have a spa, a salon, a nice dining room, and an enclosed patio. The food is very good.

I stay at the Sheridan at Windermere, and it was great. It's brand new, looks new, and it's very nice, and pleasant. The food was better, and gourmet. However, the staff was worse than the other place. The CNAs were thieves. They took anything that they liked, or anything of value, and we lost a lot of money there. You have to be very careful if you have CNAs in the room.

The rooms are very efficient but do not believe the square footage they tell you. Subtract about 20%. The activities are the best. Good, hard working people make it so. They have lots of amenities. Now, if you or your loved one needs nursing care, the Sheridan may not be for you. Most CNA's are rude, slow and lazy. LPN's are limited to preparing medication, holding staff change meetings, and doing reports. They will not put a bandage on without a doctor's permission. Sloppy nursing direction starts at the top. Visions of poor sick Myra in her nightgown walking baby steps toward the nurse's office because no one would answer her alert buzzer will be with me forever. The Dictator(sic) Director fires no bad employee but causes residents who complain to leave.

The Sheridan at Windermere was nice, but really far and too big for my mother-in-law. I was impressed with the cleanliness and the staff. The facility was bigger, nicer, newer, and cleaner than the others. However, we were scheduled for a tour, and they weren't there at first. The room we saw was very nice.

My mother-in-law just moved in. She chose The Sheridan over the other communities in the area because of the beautiful views and the "party deck". She's very happy with her choice.

The Sheridan is new, very pretty, but I felt it was a little cold than what I'm looking for. It felt more like a condominium complex than an assisted living facility. The layout was beautiful, and the grounds were very pretty. The pricing was reasonable. There were a lot of amenities, and a lot of activities on the schedule. Their food was good.
