This facility USE to be top notch, no longer. Care verges on neglect (ie mom developed bed sore) and several other issues. Would NEVER recommend this facility to anyone

My mom has moved into Sabal Palms Health & Rehabilitation. In the beginning, it was a little rough; but now everything has smoothed out, and she seems to be fine. We have limited visitation. She can't walk, so she needs to be lifted in and out of bed. She needs help to get in the shower and to get in bed, but she can brush her teeth. She can put on her makeup. She can do her hair, but she needs assistance with everything else. The place is clean, and the residents are well taken care of. The aides and the nurses are very pleasant. The social workers find out what works with you. We had some things to work out at the beginning, but they worked it out. If we have any problems, we just call and they take care of it. We can bring her food and sit there and eat with her. The food in the facility is horrible though.

Sabal Palms Health & Rehabilitation has both rehab and long-term care; it seems pretty good so far. The staffs that I've met so far are very nice and seemed very professional. My dad is on a special diet there. I think they ought to provide TVs in the rooms but they don't; including telephones. It's a very expensive place considering you have to provide your own TV, TV mounting bracket, and telephones. His room was rather sparse.

I have nothing but praise for Sabal Palms Health Care Center. The facility is clean and the care is superb. From the day my parent was admitted they were treated with care and you could tell the staff was their to do their jobs and they did them well. Mom had some "issues" with the food initially but the dietary manager stepped in and things were resolved quickly. The therapy team was great: very caring and professional; in fact everyone was caring and professional. Everyone from nursing and Social Services to Housekeeping were friendly and always smiling, which helped my Mom keep her spirits up. Communication was good and within about two weeks I was invited to a care conference where my Mom and I were informed of her progress in therapy. Mom was eventually discharged home and has shared with her friends how pleased she was with the care and suggested that if they ever need a rehab center, they should definitely go to Sabal Palms.

My mom was in this facility and was recently discharged to an ALF. Her main transportation was a wheelchair. They sent her to her ALF WITHOUT A WHEECHAIR. She also fell and I didn't get a call for 5 hours after the fall. Do your loved one a favor and find another facility.

I had hip revision and I had to go to Sabal Palms for about two months. I had therapy and it was excellent although their food was not good because I think it is institutional food. The facility itself is beautiful. I had more good things to say about them than anything else. It was a very cheery facility and I like the arrangement. It is L-shaped so each bed is not side by side. Each has its own little area which was so much nicer than a lot of nursing homes. All in all it was a good experience. I would highly recommend Sabal Palms to anyone who needs therapy.

Sabal Palms is incredible. The inside was just remodeled and it looks like a huge mansion with wood floors. Each room has a window for each resident, and they make sure you're with a roommate you like. The nurses are caring and attentive, they make sure everyone is healthy and happy, and do anything they can to help. The nursing home is always clean and sanitary, they constantly have cleaning crews on hand making sure everything looks perfect. Palms of Largo also has a TON of activities, like bingo (my grandma's favorite), board games, puzzles, movies, musicians, actors, singers, optional church services, crafts, and a ton more. They also have an in-home candy shop and beauty shop. This facility is amazing and I would recommend it to anyone.

Sable Palms in Largo FL. is a beautiful Assisted Living Facility. The moment you walk in, it feels like luxury. The large hallways, friendly staff and beautiful landscape feels like Florida's natural, southern charm. From the time my mother arived, to the time she was discharged you could tell all the staff really cared about her well being and her treatment at the facility. These hard working employe's gave their all to care for their patients. If you had a question about care recieved, you could ask any of the staff and they would get the correct person in the room to ask questions. Staff never seemed "too busy" to help residents or their families. There are some great people in this facility and some will just stick to your heart and you will fondly remember them for quite some time. I am very fortunate that my mother got the wonderful quality of care that she did at Sable Palms. I would reccommend them to anyone.
