I liked Moosehaven's location. It was just right in the middle of all of our relatives. So, we don't have to travel too far, and I believe their quality of care is outstanding. They have a pool, a woodshop, barbershop, beauty shop, a movie theater, a chapel right on site, and it's gated, so it has security. The person who gave the tour was just knowledgeable. We were invited to a luncheon, which was very spaced out with plenty of room between us and the next party. A handful of guests were there for lunch and a guest speaker.

My mom will be moving to Moosehaven, it's a continuing care facility, and she will be going to the independent side. Their apartments and villas are very nice. They have lots of activities, like Bingo, bowling, outside excursions, as well as onsite events, and events with the community. They have a large indoor swimming pool, barbershop, beauty shop, and woodworking shop. They just had their international chili cookout yesterday.

We were making an application in a place called Moosehaven. The staff was very helpful. They gave me some good information, and they were very dedicated. The apartments were very nice. They were small, but they were nice, and they provided for you very well. It was a continuing care facility. Their activities were very good. They had bowling, fishing, and swimming. They had an exercise room, a dart room, crafts, and anything you wanted. The place was very secured. However, the facility was sponsored by the Royal Order of Moose, and you had to be a member and go through them to be there.

My mother-in-law is now in a place called Moosehaven. It is a very clean facility. This facility is very good as far as memory care and everything. My mother-in-law is in the building for a little more advanced stage of dementia. It is a brand new establishment. They had just finished building it last year. It is big, lovely and very clean. The rooms there are also big. She loves being there. They help her with whatever she needs like going to the bathroom, taking a shower, etc. They take very good care of her 24/7. She did mention about the food, which is very unusual for her condition. She said food is very good. With regards to activities, they have games and movies. She is 91 but she still plays bingo. She also watches movies and attends some of their functions.

When we visited the community, I found them very helpful. They provided a lot of options as far as I can tell. You have to be a member of the Moose community for 15 years in order to qualify for them to take your assets and stuff and then she can live there for the rest of her life. Their rooms are very spacious for a single room for someone. It has a lot of closet space. You can put as many clothes in for the season that you're in but you have storage in another area for your other clothes. It's actually bigger than a lot of rooms that we saw. The facility is right on the St. John's river so the view is good. They have a lot of transportation. Every 15 minutes there's a golf cart or other transportation around the facility since it's pretty good sized. They have a pool and a movie theater. They have a church inside and there's service every Sunday. They also have different levels of care. They have independent living, assisted living and then there's an Alzheimer's unit with many stages on it.
