Mom was a guest at Windsor Tower for a few weeks of rehab following surgery for injuries sustained in a fall. We appreciated the sincere connection staff members made with the residents, and the professionalism they showed throughout her stay.
We did our part to support and encourage her well-being, but an active schedule of OT & PT, along with our phone calls and visits, helped her sustain a positive mood most days.
They promoted her well-being after discharge by giving her common-sense advice about personal care, as well as use of her walker and wheelchair.

We toured Westminster Towers Orlando. We were there for my father who was going to be in assisted living. I liked the layout of the apartments for each resident. I liked the fact that the representative who took us around knew all of the residents by name. The facility is always clean. They do a lot of activities for the residents. Their food is good, and that's an important factor.
The pricing was a little high. For the amenities that they get, I think it was OK. The other thing that I like is it is a continuous care facility. Someone can age in place and go from independent living to assisted living to memory care if needed, all in one location.
The chef involves himself with the residents. He actually seeks input as to what would be good to have and things like that. I think that is a wonderful thing for the residents there.
They have a putting green and a cafe, which is a very informal setting. They also have a sit-down dining room that has white tablecloths, and it's very nice. They have several meeting rooms for very large groups, as well as smaller groups. They honor the residents who have been in the military, and that is a very active part of their community.
The facility is always well-kept and maintained. It is a tall multi-story tower, so the assisted living apartments are on floors two, three, and four.

Our family member has lived in Independent and now Assisted living units at Westminster Towers Orlando for MANY years. She Never intends to move! The Staff, from the Director on down are professional, qualified, caring and dependable. IF Not, they will be quickly dismissed!
The Security, Medical Care, Food Service, and Housekeeping staff are especially impressive....Every Day!

I went to Westminster Towers Orlando -- which is right in downtown Orlando and directly across from where I work -- and it’s close to my home. It was definitely a cut above and obviously more expensive. It would have been my first choice. The room that I was looking at for my dad was a 1-bedroom apartment and not an efficiency. It was completely redone with granite countertops and new carpet, new paint, and new shower. Westminster Towers Orlando was probably older, but it has been maintained very well. It’s a lot more expensive, and it is located right downtown.

We ended up going to Westminster Towers for Mom. It has been very good. She likes it a lot. It’s not perfect as there’s problems here and there, but overall, she is very happy and we’re happy. One of the reasons we like the place is that the staff is very caring, and they have continued to be that way. They provide the food and the activities, like crafts, visiting musicians, and games. They have physical therapy and occupational therapy.

Westminster Communities of Florida is wonderful. I just met with a gentleman from the welcoming committee. The dining room is similar to a luxury cruise ship. The services and amenities are first-rate. I have been an institutional administrator myself, so I know first-rate. They have music performances, movies, and dance performances and offer all kinds of programs. There's no way I can attend everything. I am in an extremely luxurious one-bedroom overlooking downtown Orlando.

I chose Westminster Towers because it's close to my home. They are letting me eat in the main dining room. Things are very adequate.

Westminster Towers was the one I like the best. I like the people, for one thing. I talked to quite a few people that were there, and I have several friends that live there. The apartments were larger than a lot of them. There’s a good floor plan, and they had nice storage, which I thought was good. They had a full kitchenette, refrigerator, stove, and a microwave. I like that.
The other thing that impressed me was the activities because I can’t drive at night, and it’s in downtown Orlando. They have trips to various things that I could do if I were there. It is close to my doctors and hospital too. The food is excellent. I liked the lady that took me on the tour and talked to her several times. The view is lovely; it’s on a lake.

At Westminster Towers Orlando, they have very well-rounded programs and very nicely designed activity programs for people that need that. I met with a couple of people, and they were very pleased with the assistance they were getting. I found the apartments very nice, and their programming very nice too. The people were very enthusiastic. The food was very good. It was a very nice place.

The first community is in downtown Orlando named Westminster Towers. It is very nice and very luxurious. It has a lot of amenities and a lot of extras. It is a good size place -- I think about 12 stories tall. They were very accommodating and very helpful. They answered all of our questions, and I'd say they were excellent.

Westminster Tower apartments are very nice. Our room is about 900 square feet, with nice kitchen granite tops and two bathrooms. There's all kinds of activities, but nothing I'm interested in. I have arthritis so I can't do a lot of hand things, like golf and crafts. They have a library, and even a restaurant where your family could hang on when they visit. But they could improve on their food. I'm not used to peas, grits or greens. They will bring your meals to you for a small fee.

When I first arrived, the building felt warm and comfortable. The people were very nice and inviting. It seemed as though they cared greatly about the residents and the residents enjoyed the employees. The facilities were very nice and up to date. From my visit, I could not think of any negatives about this assisted living facility.

This is an assisted living facility with a full staff available 24/7. It would allow my father to live an independent yet assisted lifestyle, which provides my entire family with the security and peace of mind that he can continue his life as he pleased and as he needed. It is located in the heart of the city of Orlando. Surrounded by the history and scenic beauty of Lake Eola, churches, and the public library with their valuable resources provided hours of entertainment and a social life that he is well accustomed to. But most of all its close to where I both live and work. So visiting dad is a quick drive away, by taking the I-4. And with its location and available amenities it provides an ideal location for my sisters and our families to visit dad and without prior notice to the facility.

Everyone at Westminster Towers was genuinely concerned about the residents. My grandmother lived in the assisted living portion, but the building also houses seniors in independent-living apartments. Everyone seemed very happy living there. They celebrate every special occasion--I was there for the Kentucky Derby/Cinco de Mayo celebration and they went all out: decorations, activities (including a horse and carriage ride), and food and drink. But even on not-so-special occasions they celebrated. For example on a Friday night, they had a pizza party complete with red-checked tablecloths. My grandmother truly loved the staff and the care they showed to her was very reassuring to our family. I only wish we would have found this place for her earlier in her life so she could have spent more time in such a wonderful place.

It was a hard decision to move my mother into an assisted living facility, but I feel we made the best choice when we picked Westminster towers. Since moving 6 months ago, my mother's health has improved and she has never seemed happier. She has made several new friends, and the staff always have various activities planned for the residents. I visit atleast once a week, and the entire property is always spotless. I'm always greeted with a smile. I never worry about the safety or security. They give me peace of mind when I can not always be there. We shopped around a lot before making a decision, and this was definately the right choice. I would recommend to anyone in need of an assited living facility for a loved one.

As soon as I walked into the facility it gave off a great feeling of energy. I noticed the employees all seemed to genuinely care about the residents and had a true passion to not only make the most of the residents' days but to also perform their job duties to the best of their capabilities. The residents seemed content and had good relationships with the employees. There were many games and activities going on with reading and also watching television programs. The building was a bit old but had a good look and feel to it and was well maintained. The rooms were a good size and the areas outside were spacious and clean with a minimal amount of debris. There was the right amount of security and they all were very aware of the surroundings and even had relationships with some of the resident's. I got the feeling that all the resident's I saw felt as if this was their new home and they enjoyed the atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for an assisted living home as it left a great impression on me.
