My first impression of The Grande is that it's beautiful and clean. They had a sample room for us to look at but it was very nice, nicely furnished, and it would be very comfortable for my friend to live there. The staff who gave us the tour, his name was Vinnie and made us feel more comfortable than the first lady we talked to did. He was more helpful with information. The dining area is nice, the tables all had nice table cloths and flowers, it was comfortable. My friend is looking forward to doing bingo and other activities there and traveling.

My mother-in-law was in The Grande. I was disappointed with them right from the start when we had taken the tour. They showed us the facility and it was very nice, and my mother-in-law was familiar with the place so she picked it. There are two sections, there are assisted living and independent living. And then there's another part of the building, and that's where they put my mother-in-law, in this other section of the building. They might call it assisted living, but I've been to nursing homes and long-term care facilities, and that's what it looked like to me. So, therefore, my mother-in-law was more independent than she was assisted, and they put her back there and she hated it. I was upset that they showed me the front part of the building and said that's where she was going to be, and then they put her on the backside of the building. It was a borderline nursing home. She didn't like the staff, she could never get anybody to help her. She didn't like the food and there were no activities. And if there were activities, that part of the building was cut off from the whole community. Only based on where she was, I wasn't happy with the place at all. In terms of activities, she hardly partakes in anything. It just wasn't part of the daily routine and activity, or if it was, she didn't know about it because she's not one to just sit around and do nothing. The fact that she was only there for two months, isn't a ringing endorsement in my mind. It was clean. But she was completely segregated, and it's very hard to communicate with them too. There's never anybody there that you could talk to; they're never there. They never gave me any updates. They never called me.
It was a hospital at one time so it's a pretty big facility with three stories. There's an entrance in the front, which is very nice, and a water fountain and a nice lobby. But then I found out I have to drive around the back of the building when I go in there. There's never anybody at the main desk there, people could come and go. This was the time during COVID, at the beginning of this year. We would have to go to the front part of The Grande to sign in and everything, and then get back in our car and drive around to the back of the building and then just walk right in. There's nobody there to check you, or ask you who you're seeing, or where you're going. I just didn't like that whole setup there.

This is a nice place if your loved one is generally healthy. As they begin to decline, find another place. My mom has been in the hospital multiple times since being here. The hospital/rehab facility gets her back to her baseline and within a few weeks sometimes days, she ends up right back in. This most recent stay she was suffering from altered mental status, was severely dehydrated and her blood levels were all down. We moved her specifically from the IL side to the AL side so she could get better care, but have seen no difference.

My Aunt is lucky to call The Grande her forever home. The staff treats her as though she is a part of their immediate family. She has made many new friends which we are so happy about, she was socially isolated living home alone. Even though visits are not allowed right now because of the pandemic the staff there makes sure she is well taken care of and stays in touch with us with any updates. Best move she ever made!

The rooms at The Grande are set up beautifully. We especially love the courtyard room with the french doors that lead to a spacious courtyard perfect for our door socializing. The staff is friendly and seems to go out of their way to help with anything you may need. Even though they are busy, they make time to tend to your needs. Happy to call The Grande our home.

The Grande was nice and clean, but I didn’t think it was a place for my wife. The rooms with two people had a wall in-between the two beds and my wife gets claustrophobic, so I didn’t think she could benefit from that. The dining hall was nice. They had a small place where you could sit around and play cards, dominoes, checkers, or whatever you wanted to. My wife needed a lot of help and I didn’t think she could get it from them. I didn’t see that kind of help while I was there. The staff was nice and friendly. It was a lot newer than other places.

We visited The Grande. The people were very caring and very welcoming. The place was very clean and nicely furnished. All of the residents seemed to be pleased and happy. The food was wonderful. They had cards, did shopping trips, took residents out to lunch, and movie nights. It was such a nice place that my husband and I looked at each other and said, "This is where we will go when the time comes."

We are at the Grande, and they do a pretty good job. The room and the people are nice. If you got a problem, they do work it out. I suppose the food is alright and good, but the portions could be bigger. He can’t eat enough in the dining room, and the dining room is a little bit far from us. Here, I am allowed to cook, and we eat in our room. They gave us the biggest room they could because my husband is big, so we’ve got the biggest apartment in the facility. I have a living room, kitchenette, bedroom off to the living room, and bathroom off of the kitchenette.

The people at The Grande were very friendly, and it was a nice place. We had dinner there, and the food was excellent. They serve breakfast and lunch, and then they also have food you can order all throughout the day if you want to. The staff was very friendly, and the residents were very friendly, too.

Everybody at The Grande was very helpful, and everything looked good. The staff was pleasant and courteous. They had trips, outings, and events going on in the facility. What impressed me was the size. The dining area was nice.

Having to make the decision to put my mom in an assisted living facility was a difficult one. I visited several different ALF's in Spring Hill and Brooksville over a 3 month period and ultimately chose The Grande. It was clean, the staff was very friendly and the food was great. We recently moved my mom in and she is adjusting well, thanks to the staff. She even brags to her sister, who is in an ALF in PennsyIvania, about the food. Kudos to Chef Katie! I have nothing but good things to say about The Grande and would recommend the facility to anyone having to make the decision to put their loved one in an ALF.

The Grande was very nice, and the food was great, but my mom just feels like it’s a nursing home. The rooms were very clean, and the people were very nice and respectful. The clientele that’s there were all very happy looking and all said hello. They have bingo and singing as part of their activities.

I was very happy there at The Grande. I thought they were excellent. They seemed to be very attentive to the residents. I thought everything was wonderful. The rooms that I saw appeared to be suitable for the specific resident, whatever their needs were. The rooms appeared to be comfortable and seemed well lit.
