My brother wasn’t comfortable going to a bigger place, and Almost Home is small. There’s only 3 people that lived there, and the location was really good for him. He needed to be in Fairfax, he needed to be in a place where he could get to his other connections easy, and it’s near his doctor. I really like the two owners -- the man and his wife who owned the place; they’re very sweet. They’re genuine and seemed to care about the people who live there. It’s really perfect for Henry.

Wish I found this place for my dad earlier. It feels like home to him in a real house with a real kitchen and prepared meals. He gets so much more one on one attention. Dad is cleaner and gets more care and common sense when it comes to helping his needs. He has not been in the hospital once compare to 4x plus his previous care at a bigger ALF for memory care. I can't say enough about how much peace of mind I have with his care at Almost Home.

Almost Home ALF is exactly that. This ALF runs just like you were home. The residents are allowed to get up when they want to and to pretty much eat if they want and not when they don’t feel like it. The staff is small, one every shift and many times it is the same person on two shifts, so you have the continuity that you want. The home itself is modest and it encourages the patients to bring their unique items with them. There is a reasonable amount of common sitting area and there is a television in the common area for the residents to watch. The decor is a little out dated in my opinion and it could use some upgrades. However, this place is modest and caring.
