I was assigned Home Health Care of Florida after back surgery at Biospine in Orlando. I was told a nurse would come to my home the following three days to change my dressings and take my vitals. Day one no problem day two the physical therapist called to make an appointment and asked if I had livestock in my house said he did not like big dogs. Day two no nurse called to set up an appointment finally the physical therapist called the office and said no one was assigned to come out. Later in the day, the office did get someone out. On day three no one called or came out. I am very unhappy with this organization what if I really really needed the nurse. What if I had severe breathing problems. This is totally unsatisfactory I will be contacting Biospine and letting them know the company they are sending is not dependable.

I went through a number of care providers with this agency. I was doubled billed by one of the caretakers( Good thing I looked at the bill). One watched mom get into the shower, offering no assistance. Even mom didn't want her back( She came highly recommended by the Agency). One never showed and didn't call. She was at her "real job".( Took off work early to be there). and one is doing Time for her Crime! Don't let that 3rd level of screening fool you! High turnover rate!

I hired this service because they did not require a contract for a specific number of hours per week with a two hour minimum.. They would provide a 'sitter', $16/hour. If I need something more, a CNA would come at $18/hour. Well, I needed someone to help me with my husband's shower once a week. I assisted her and we had him showered, dressed and set for the day in less than the hour. She is a CNA.. Once we had my husband settled, I left to run errands and shop----home well within a 3 hour limit (7am to10am.) She served one hour as a CNA----she then sat an watched TV, maybe helped my husband with the bathroom, and fed him a bowl of cereal as Hourly Companion.. But I was always charged for her help at the CNA rate (18/hour)----even when she came on Saturday so I could go to Church for 2 hours. She watched TV for 2 hours! Shared a snack with my husband. And I was charged the CNA rate of $18.00/hour!!! I feel that I was screwed every time I used her. But she was a familiar face and my husband was comfortable with her. I won't go into the many times when I thought I had someone scheduled so that I could meet an appointment! (Doctor/Dental). The person 'forgot'; didn't get the text message,etc.. Finally, My husband is 6"5" and almost 300 pounds. And almost 95 years old! The doctor insists that he keep walking with a walker as long as he can. We keep trying! When a high school graduate girl, barely more than 4 feet tall and just past 120 pounds comes,, he is not comfortable. He can go to the bathroom and take care of that need. He is always fully dressed when help comes, unless that is 'shower day' when I need help. To be honest I'm at a loss. Oh, by the way, I'm 74 years old. And getting older than the years tell. I'm rambling. Sorry. You asked!
