I went to Best Care Senior Living at Saint Joseph. Based on what I saw, it seemed that all the residents were getting the care that they needed. I didn't see any individual being neglected or not taken care of, so that was fine. I saw the staff interacting with the residents. I saw residents gathered together to watch television and play games. However, it was a little difficult to get someone to tour me around the facility. I think the director was on a different campus at the time, so I got shown around by a medtech there. The rooms seemed pretty standard to what I saw at other facilities. They have double rooms and single rooms that come furnished. There is a bathroom in there. The shower doesn't have like a sit-down, so that would be one drawback. It seemed that they might be a little understaffed, and some work needed to be done on the upkeep. There wasn't trash anywhere or anything like that. It just seemed that the building is old.

We toured Best Care Senior Living at Saint Joseph for my sister-in-law. It was a nice facility. They took us through everything. The rooms and everything were nice. The staff was nice. It was a really clean place. It was a secure place. You didn't have to worry about the residents walking out of the facility because everything was well secured and locked, and they had cameras installed. It was a really beautiful place. They do a lot of craft projects. They do a lot of activities as far as getting the residents out and gathering them together.

I went to Best Care Senior Living at Saint Joseph. I thought it was very big. The neighbor said there was a homeless person sitting outside on a bench, and the residents were sitting out there. Their idea of exercise is to sit outside in the courtyard. The rooms were like brick walls, they were like studios and hospital beds, the residents didn't have a lot of freedom with food choices, and it was very confined. They share one TV and all sit in the one living space. The doors are kept locked; residents can't go to a different floor unless they are escorted. The people were just sitting around or lying around looking heavily medicated, and I did not think the facility was really clean.
