We chose Elan Manatee Assisted Living & Memory Care for my mother. She will be moving there. The room sizes were nice. The kitchenette area was important to us. It seems that everybody that we saw and all of the residents there were very happy and very active in their day. We use that as a barometer for how my mom would feel in that community. The person that assisted us was very professional, very nice, very helpful. They just had a nice array of different activities that the residents could participate in. They were doing some exercises. We like to see that. They had some people reading in the lounge area and some people were playing cards.

What I liked the most about Elan Manatee Assisted Living & Memory Care was the staff. They were amazing to work with and the place was beautiful and very clean. The outdoor spaces were very well taken care of. They have a beauty/barbershop, a cute little place for coffee and bagels, a library, a game room, and a theater room. The apartments were very spacious, very clean, very bright, and airy, too.

I went to Elan Manatee Assisted Living & Memory Care. Their rooms were beautiful. So their rooms, the cleanliness, everything about it, there was nothing negative about them. Did not have any meals, but she did give us a box of chocolate chip muffins. But those were not eaten. The staff was very nice.

The tour at Elan Manatee was great. The girl was great. The facility was relatively new. However, when my father walked in, he said he didn't feel comfortable. Everything was very, very nice. The rooms were nice. Cleanliness was a big thing for me. They have the handrails on the walls. I did the finger test for dust and checked under counter. I was really thorough, but it was very, very nice. Amenities were all fine. They have a very nice dining room. They had four separate rooms for the library, game room, TV room, and movie room. They were very reasonable for rooms, and the rooms were staged nicely to show how furniture would fit and everything like that.

Initially, we chose Elan Manatee Assisted Living & Memory Care due to the fact that first, it was very new, everything was probably about only a year old, maybe a little bit more, and two, they had a program, a policy where they would shuttle the residents to and from their doctors that were within ten miles of their location. That was something we were definitely planning to set up for our mom. The executive director was great, she spent an hour with me, she's a great person. I just didn't get to see everything on one tour, but it was very nice. We got to see the apartments, they had an area where residents can watch movies every night together, and I think they had a fireplace.

My mom is in Elan Manatee Assisted Living. Her apartment is very nice, and she loves everything about it. They do anything she asks, so she's very happy where she is. Everything is in an app where I can see what she does during the day, so no complaints. They've got a walking area that they walk around the building like a circle, and they've got a pretty good-sized TV room. They've got activities. They've got everything. The food is better than most restaurants I've tasted. It's a brand-new place, everything is topnotch, and it almost looks like a 5-star hotel. She moved in right after Thanksgiving.
