Beware! Sadly, this place is not even worthy of a one-star review, but that is the lowest allowable! THE MOST HORRIBLE experience with post hospital in-patient rehab we could have ever had the misfortune of experiencing. My dad's needs were completely unmet. There is NO ONE on staff to advocate for the patient as there is NO SOCIAL WORKER. They were completely disorganized and unprofessional. He was left sitting in a transport wheelchair for 4 1/2 hours (never taken to the restroom during that time), they skipped his evening meds completely the first day he was there. There is NO DIETICIAN to work on nutritious meals and therefore the cheapest food imaginable is served to the residents. They completely disregarded my dad's diabetic, dietary needs causing his blood sugar level to nearly double. After two days, we pulled him out. It should have only taken 24-hours but they didn't bother to inform the physician that he needed to come in that week and therefore wasn't planning to. After DEMANDING that my dad be evaluated for discharge and after dozens of phone calls, my dad was released from care late the second night at 7pm. We did not want to pull him out AMA or his BCBS would have given us trouble. SO relieved that bad experience is behind us!

Bradenton Health Care is beautiful. It's separated into different units for Alzheiner's or dementia patients, but my dad was placed in the long-term care facility. It was fine. The staff was very good and very attentive to him, and the food was good. It was a nice facility. He was supposed to go to physical therapy. They also have some crafts.

My wife was there for rehab and her care was terrible. She was sitting in a wheelchair with urine dripping out because they had not changed her pull up. In addition she was left in bed all day and developed bedsores. Bathing was erratic and the weekend shift was just horrible. Finally I called in a report to the State and when they examined her had her taken to the hospital. She was taking lasix and they should have been monitoring her electrolytes but failed to do so. Another day there may have caused her to have a heart attack. I would not recommend this place to anyone..HORRIBLE!!!

My mother is in Bradenton Health Center. We went in and toured it. It is extremely clean and 10 minutes from our home. There seems to be more staff who are attentive. My mother has been there for almost two weeks. Unfortunately, she has been in isolation because she got mrsa in the place she was in before. They have been taking very good care of her; she is clean and eating. It is a very nice facility. They have things happening on a daily basis, even in the memory care unit. They have music once a week and the people from memory care, as long as they are able, are brought over and can participate in that.

Bradenton Health Care was nice. I was there as a patient for a while. Their therapy was wonderful. The food could improve, and it could be a little bit better. The staff was wonderful. It was clean. If I would have to go to a place again, I would go there. It was a skilled nursing, a rehab, but it also had a dementia unit.

My father's treatment in this facility was a 3-3.5, which is between "It's ok - I Liked It " rating. I will list Pro's and Con's: Pro's 1.) Facility Décor/ building/equipment 2.) Therapist's - Amazing, all of them! 3.) Food - Delicious - According to my father 4.) Visiting hours - I love the anytime visiting hours Con's 1.) Nursing aids were not friendly to patient's or visitors and I was there everyday for 20 days visiting my dad. 2.) The D.O.N. did not feel me with confidence when I found out my dad didn't receive meds for two days after leaving the hospital. I understand that they have a new way of recording patients health information but my question wasn't what meds my dad is on but if he received them. I wasn't upset at all but it was sounding more like a cover up, which made me start to feel upset. All I wanted was an honest answer of why it happened and to make sure it didn't happen again. The D.O.N. did eventually help me find an answer at the nurses station. It was a complicated matter of getting access to information. 3.) They lost a pair of shorts, a tee shirt and two pairs of boxers (which was new). I did call the nurses station after my dad contacted me. His clothes was prepared 30 minutes prior to use but disappeared before he was to shower. Which he never got and clothes was never found. I also went in to BHC and they couldn't find his clothes. 4.) I've always heard that families needs to be an advocate for the elderly but there didn't seem to be a confident support mechanism for family members to ask questions and get confident accurate answers. Special recognition for a great job! Thank you, (Nurse) Hosette , Jennifer (Therapist) and Jenny (admitting).

First of all, this facility is located on a lake and it is beautiful there. I have seen many rehabilitation places, nursing homes, etc. that have just looked gloomy from the outside. Every time I have been at this facility, all the staff have been really nice and they seem caring. I have met a lot of my mom's patients throughout my time there. All the patients seem genuinely happy there under the circumstances. They have a room there, which is the gym, and they have the Wii set up. The elderly people there love playing it! They get to play tennis and things like that for exercise. Like I said it's so beautiful outside of this facility. Some of the residents can go outside and just enjoy the views.
