This center is so wonderful and caring I don’t even know where to begin. We were searching for a place for my mother-in-law to get rehab and we remembered the really bad experience she had been through last year with a nationally based nursing home. Never in our dreams did we think we would find such professionalism and such a caring staff who treat her like she was family. I recommend Finnish American house completely and I thank God we found them. She is attended to so closely and the staff gets her whatever she needs. Her blood count was so low and the staff arranged transport for her to get a transfusion at a local hospital. They seem to appreciate that we the family are involved and sometimes we have questions. They are so gracious in giving us the time to answer them thoroughly. This is the type of service that you wish every nursing home or rehab would give their elderly patients. I initially called Catholic charities hoping they could refer me to a rehab that is how I got their name. Kiddos from a grateful family❤️

Finnish-American Village was very clean, very neat, and very homey. I got to meet several of the staff, and the people there seemed very content. It was very peaceful. They had an activities director that really works with patients with abilities, and I really like that. The tour was very nice. I had a great first impression. The facility looked very well-cared for, and I'm comfortable with that. They showed me a room, and it's all very nice. I also saw their menu which looked awesome. It's in a nice and quiet location and easy to find. They have a garden area, like a patio with a garden area outside with plants and shrubbery and things. They are just really pleasant for their patients and everyone there to enjoy. It's important to them that people get some outside time.

My son-in-law went to Finnish-American Village for rehab, so I've been there. It was good. The nurses were very nice, very kind, and I liked that it was a small facility. I also liked the location, but it was very old.

My mom moved into the nursing home side of Finnish-American Village, which is a smaller, more intimate, and caring community. It has a simple homey atmosphere. The food is mostly good and some of it is home-cooked. Half of the place is for the skilled nursing facility and the other half is for the assisted living facility, which have different times that they have their hours for the two groups. They have paintings donated from the Finnish community, so it gives it that home atmosphere. It's very tastefully done and not pretentious. They have many options available for the activities.
