Tuscan Gardens of Delray Beach is a very nice place. They have independent living, assisted living, and they're just starting memory care. I have a friend of mine that lives there in assisted living, so that's what made me go there. The overall experience was very nice. They had a very large lobby. Their dining area was very nice. Unfortunately, they're kind of short-staffed right now, so the residents have been waiting a little too long for their food. My friend has been there probably for six months now, and she said the food is very good. They give you lots of food. There are lots of activities. There's a movie every day, either in the afternoon or in the evening. There's artwork and painting. As far as religious stuff, they have a rabbi or a Catholic priest that comes in once a week and does a sermon. They have their own beauty parlor if you want to use them. The grounds are very pretty because it is newer. My friend likes it there. She has long-term insurance, so the money was no question, but for me, they don't help you with Medicaid, so you would have to pay out of pocket the whole thing yourself, and it was just too expensive for me.

Mom is at Tuscan Gardens of Delray Beach, and our experience has been good. The facility is very nice, and the food is good. The dining area is very nice and very clean, too. She has a beautiful one-bedroom apartment with a full kitchen. This place was only like two years old, so it is new. There could be more activities for those that are more independent.

My parents have been at Tuscan Gardens of Delray Beach since January of this year. They have a host of activities during the day that they can attend if they want to, and it's a full day's worth of schedule. My parents' apartment is very nice, comfortable, and properly suited for their needs. They are happy with the food there. The staff seems to be very engaged, caring, and pleasant.
