I used to visit a few friends at The Meridian at Boca Raton. The place is not that old. It was only built in the last few years. It was very, very clean and nicely furnished. They had a beautiful lobby. The dining area was nice. They had a nice bar for happy hour or whatever. They had a theater for shows and presentations.
Everyone I met on the staff was very kind and courteous. In the memory group especially, they were very caring and cared a lot for their patients. The rooms were private. They were nicely laid out. They had a good dining area or kitchenette, a bedroom area, and a sort of a living room. They were very nice. They seemed to be cleaning all the time. The place was very clean and very sanitary.
They had a lot of activities for the residents. They had a regular physical fitness group. They played games, and they took them out on tours.
My mom is at The Meridian at Boca Raton and we chose this place because it was new, perfect, and everything about it fits my needs. The staff is fabulous. The place is terrific, and the food's great. The activities are just amazing. I couldn't say enough about it. The dining room and the gym are also fabulous, and they have a beautiful hair salon. All the activity rooms are great. I was thrilled. The place has plenty of parking and it's easy to find. It's only ten minutes from my home too.
My husband is staying at The Meridian at Boca Raton. We love the unit he got. It's spacious, clean, and pretty new. They also have activities every day. They have a list and they can choose from it, and it's a pretty good variety. He loves the food. It's varied, high quality, and delicious. I met the cafeteria staff, and they're very knowledgeable, and very good.
The facility is kept in pristine condition. The caregivers are awesome. The aides that come in respond immediately, and they're very good as well. They do his laundry, and only his laundry, and deliver it back to his room. They clean his apartment and change his sheets weekly.
The only issue we had was, when they first come in, they have to stay in their room until their COVID test comes back. That's usually two to three days, but the testing facility happened to have lost my husband's results, so he was in his room for five days, and he was not happy with that. Other than that, he just loves the community. I can go over and bring albums for him to look at. They have beautiful sitting areas with sofas all throughout the complex. We sit in these areas or we go and sit out in one of the three atriums that are just gorgeous too. It's just been a very nice experience.
I was warned that it was one of the more expensive facilities, but it's not that much more expensive. The care in the Meridian at Boca Raton is actually less expensive because they break it down into four tiers. I don't know if I can find this much quality anywhere else. It is absolutely worth every penny.
The Meridian at Boca Raton feels like a beautiful boutique hotel. It's very new, and the apartments are really nicely set up. They had everything on-site, a beauty salon, a theater, and beautiful dining. I saw most of it right after they allowed visitors because of COVID. I had seen it first through a virtual tour, which was OK, but it's nothing like being there. The people were very accommodating and friendly. It seemed like it would be a good fit for my mother.
I'm a resident of Symphony at Boca Raton. The staff is polite and helpful. The food and the facilities are fine. They have a small fitness center, a card room, a room that has a computer in it, and a room where you can do cooking demonstrations. They have a lot of activities like a movie every day.
