My mother was at Stratford Court for rehab. It's not good. It's a corporate environment and it's huge. My mother has Alzheimer's and dementia, she was pulling out her IVs and she was walking up the halls at night, so they made her go and sit by the nurse's station, but they didn't care for her. I'm not saying that they didn't do rehab, but at that point, rehab to me was pretty far down on her list of needs. They didn't take care of the other needs, and I think because it's a corporate thing. Another thing that happened was that they had their Covid shots before my mother got there, so the lady from the other facility worked out that the people who were doing the Covid shot at their facility could go down to Stratford to give my mother a Covid shot, but they wouldn't allow it. They said that that person wasn't an authorized vendor or something like that. I understand that we're a very litigious society where everybody wants to sue everybody else, but when it comes to medicine and when it comes to taking care of people, it needs to be more on a personal level and not on the corporate level. If you want lush gardens, fountains, a big dining area, and a theater, then Stratford is a place for you. It's a beautiful location, but my mother didn't take advantage of any of their amenities. She was there for two weeks but she was basically in quarantine and she wasn't supposed to leave her room. I'm not happy with Stratford. My mom wasn't eating while she was there, and that was another issue. They're also off the chart expensive.

It's all about the money here. They are horribly understaffed and you will never be able to get an appointment to meet with the doctor or nurse practioner who is supposed to be monitoring the patient. They don't have enough aides so if you need help moving to or from the bathroom you will wait longer than you can bear. Also, they won't help change your depends when needed. The food is not good. Very heavy accents make it almost impossible to understand what most of the aides are saying. They don't make the extra effort to speak clearly around hearing impaired patients. It's all about the profit, not the patient
