We went to Hampton Manor at Deerwood. It was very nice and we were wanting to put mom in there, but they did not have a room. One of the things I liked about the Hampton Manor, it was a family-owned small place, which is more personal. But I don't think they would have been able to do the rehab. I don't think she would have been a good fit for that anyway because that was ALF and she needs a skilled nursing facility. So it probably wouldn't work out anyway.

My father moved into Hampton Manor at Deerwood last month. My brother found it, and he said he liked it, and we didn't have much time. So I said ok. I think it's wonderful. He's a diabetic, and he liked the food. However, he needed rehab, and there was a miscommunication. There was a delay.
They have bible study. I think it's very clean and very pretty.

I went to Hampton Manor at Deerwood yesterday. It was clean. People were friendly, and the residents seemed to be happy. They were having a little Christmas party while I was there. The only drawback was it was multi-story, and you have activities on different floors.
I saw the rooms: a studio and (I think) a two-bedroom apartment. Those were nice. They have roll-in showers. It seemed clean and well-kept. I saw the activity area, and I saw the dining area. They were all nice.
The staff was caring and knowledgeable. It seemed very well maintained.

We went and looked at Hampton Manor at Deerwood. My mom told me she liked all the activities, and she enjoyed the staff while we were there, but she was nervous about the different levels. She didn't like that. The staff members were all very friendly. They showed us the rooms. They were very nice, and it looked like they were very accessible for people who were in wheelchairs. They were pretty large and there's plenty of room. The activities differ all the time, so we don't know everything they have. They had card games, and they had a sitting area that my mom would like, so she could go outside in the courtyard getting some sun in there, and things like that. They have a nice sitting room in there with a TV. It was pet-friendly, so some residents have pets. Their dining area was large and the tables were spaced out very well for residents to get around.

Hampton Manor at Deerwood didn't have 24/7 nursing on staff. That's my only hesitation, since they wouldn't have anybody there to administer the insulin for her. The tour was very nice. I met with Tabitha, who is in charge of sales. She is very knowledgeable about everything. She took me to a few different rooms on different floors of the facility. She answered any questions I had and gave me her phone number. She was very, very helpful. They said my mom will be in level 2, but they didn't have a specific outline as to what kind of care level 2 is provided. They had activities. I didn't taste the food, but it seemed like their menu was pretty good. It would have been closer for me to be able to see her more often, so I would have liked that option. They wouldn't administer insulin or any kind of injections, nor would they be able to check her blood sugar.
The rooms were clean. They were nice. They were spacious and easy access. The have an elevator because they have different levels, which probably wouldn't be good for my mom who is in a wheelchair. She had somebody physically assisting her throughout the day going up and down an elevator.

We toured Hampton Manor at Deerwood. I think it was beautiful, it's clean, very neat, very nice. I wouldn't have anything bad to say about them. The staffers we saw were all very friendly. I know they take bus tours, and they have all kinds of different activities going on during the day, but because of COVID they are a little bit more limited. They were definitely careful of everything. When we went over there, they were the only one who made us wear a plastic gown, plastic gloves, and N95 masks, so it was very well protected that way.

I chose Hampton Manor for my brother. Right now, he's settling in, he's getting used to it and he had been completely independent up to this point. He likes it; he likes the people, and really likes the employees. The food is very plain, they don't use very many spices, and it's not what he's used to. They have Bingo, birthday parties, and they do trips. I'm in the area so I take him out twice a week for lunch. And he has friends that come up and visit him, and have lunch with him in the patio. They have really nice facilities, I'm impressed. It's extremely clean and I'm very pleased with it. When I got to Hampton Manor, my question there was if we could afford it, because it was so nice. It met our budget and exceeded our expectations.

I went to Hampton Manor at Deerwood. The staff was wonderful and very nice. I didn't see anything wrong with the quick walk-through. Cleanliness was absolutely great, and the rooms were OK.

My mother has been living here since January and is adjusting well, making friends, both with the staff and the other residents. I love the new one-bedroom apartments, as allows mom to have most of the things that she loves and is proud to show to everyone that visits. The staff is very friendly, caring and helpful. The facility is very clean and orderly, and the decor is lovely. The layout of the building is simple, so it is easy for the residents to find their way around. I had toured almost all the other facilities in Ocala, and this was my first choice. I have had a few meals there with my mom in the dining hall, and the food is well prepared and good.

I'm so thankful for Caring.com! After filling out our information, they led me to a facility that was within our price range in Ocala, Florida. The assisted living facility is the Hampton Manor. The building itself is beautiful but the people are even more awesome. I visited on the weekend and was greeted with friendly open arms and given a wonderful tour where I was able to talk to many of the residents as well. It was a positive experience all around. Every visit we made there we were greeted by friendly loving people. But the most wonderful part of the experience was a woman named Kim who’s job there is to work with the families to get their loved one settled. She went above and beyond answering questions, meeting and evaluating our aunt, pairing her with people she had things in common with so she could feel comfortable immediately, and much more. She attended to details we would never have thought of! I would encourage anyone looking for assisted living for a relative in the Ocala area to make it a priority to visit the Hampton Manor and ask for Kim.

My sister, current resident, has mobility issues, but fortunately no mental problems. Selected this facility after inspecting nine other sites. Very modern and well-appointed building in a well maintained suburban setting. Initial impression of a caring staff and professional management is well supported by actual experience. Sister very satisfied with quality of food.

I have two friends who chose Hampton Manor for a residence for their mothers. They spoke highly of the friendliness, dignity, and cleanliness of Hampton Manor. My brother and I concur with them as my 94 yr. old faher seems to be thriving there. Praise the Lord!

The services at Deerwood have met my expectations in providing a good quality of life for my faher at age 92. The staff brings comfort and care regularly. They even meet unexpected concerns. They also provide nutritious meals and good snacks as afternoon treats for social interaction. They have a full monthly schedule of options available to meet individual enjoyment as far as activities are concerned. They even keep the room and common areas clean and orderly. Most importantly, meds are dispersed on a regular schedule and are recorded.

I am living in Hampton Manor for two years now and I am very satisfied with almost everything. It is relaxing here. The staff is very good. If I don't like the food they make something that I do like. I am in a good size single room. They have activities like bingo and they have people come in and sing.

Hampton Manor was very nice. It only had 57 residents and that was for the downfall on that one because I figured my mother wouldn’t have as many friends. The people that worked there kept saying hi and they were very nice. The rooms were very nice. I know they have activities, but I don’t remember.

I believe I have come across Hampton Manor through the internet. I visited this place and they did show us everything. The staff was extremely nice and knowledgeable. They were like into the people and they just seemed to really care. Their rooms were very clean and of nice size. Their kitchens were very clean also. They did have some activities for their residents. I can't remember them specifically but I just remember thinking that my relative would enjoy them. My relative is a Christian and I believe also that they have a church that come in there. I thought he would be pretty safe there. I believe that is the one he is going to go when the times comes. What I like best about this community was mainly the people, their rooms, and their activities.

The Hampton Manor is beautiful. The staffing and the aesthetics are very upscale and felt comfortable. The price is comparable and they're actually one of the cheapest so that was good. I enjoyed my visit there.

My father moves in on April 20, 2012 after we selected Deerwood as his new residence. The facility is impressive but the manager, Cathy, was the real reason we made our decision to move him there.
