NHC gave very good care to my mother. Nurses were very caring and informed. Therapist worked hard to help her get back to her independent level. Staff arrived on time when they said they would . They were very responsive to all questions and concerns.

I had this agency for my nursing and therapy needs after surgery and I can't stop talking about the excellent services I received. The nursing staff and therapy staff was very knowledgeable of recent surgery and took the time to educate me in how to better myself. PT was able to get me back to where I could start using my cane rather than my walker. And the nurses where able to help me control my pain with medication and non therapeutic methods. I will use this agency again and refer anyone else I know that needs home health care.

They get 1 star because Sally and Salina are Awsome caring nurses, however Claudia (nurse social worker), whom I never met was very unsympathetic and even went out of her way and ENDANGERED my Father, all from a phone call (I never met her). I asked for more fluids by IV for my father, who has stage 4 lung cancer and isn't drinking enough since the chemo, so I want him focused on protein drinks to sustain weight. He was hospitalized 3 weeks ago for dehydration. She returned an answer of my request saying, "No" and "that wasn't going to happen". I got upset and raised my voice, because it wasn't as much what she said but how she said it and I Love my father and want him to have the best fighting chance possible. She told the director I was cussing at her, and I think that's a lie but if I had it wasn't at her, then she had my father discharged and told his oncologist and called DCF, claiming I was abusive (false). My father was never left alone, EVER, and my job allows me to work from home too. Our phone call was 4 days prior to my father's treatment and I was "Discharged" a day prior to his treatment. She didn't like me raising my voice and I understand, but what she is doing is morally apprehensive. Someone should have at least referred me to another agency or talked to me or my father first, She went over the top to make an example of me, it's not about people to some of them and those who can't understand what the patient and families are going through should find another job.

I have had NHC provide me services on multiple occasions. Their nurses and therapists were great at making sure I knew how to take care of my wounds and take my medicines. They also taught my daughter who was helping me at the time. I am continually pleased with the services I get from them.

Caregiversare more interested in getting off for the day than servicing their clients. Instead of the nurses serving the patient, the patient serves the nurses. Personnel could care less whether you ever get to go to church. There only thought is for their own needs.
