Wayman Place was very warm and friendly. You either have a two-bedroom or a studio, but that wouldn't work for us. My mother wants a one-bedroom. It was very well kept up. The staff who gave us the tour was very nice and very accommodating. The dining area looked very nice. They have the usual arts, movies, and going to the grocery store because I know they have a bus. I saw a bus sitting there.

My sister will be moving into Wayman Place. It seemed to be a clean place and well organized. We took a nice tour, and we liked the place. We liked everything about it and all the services that they offered. We were just very happy with what we observed and what they discussed with us. We saw the menu of the meals for the day or week, and it seemed okay to me. We also spoke with the resident that is currently living there, and he spoke happily about the food.

My husband was at Wayman Place. He needed more care than what he was getting there. I didn't know if the placement coordinator wasn't forthcoming with them, or I didn't know what the issue was, but he was in the hospital twice in the month and a half that he was there, so I would not take him back there simply because I don't think they can offer him what he needs.
In the time my husband was there, he had gotten a lot of health issues, but they were pretty stabilized. He wasn't stable anymore, so he went into the hospital and straight into the ICU. As far as the decisions he had to make regarding his eating, he wasn't able to make those decisions, and because it was assisted living, they didn't help him make those decisions. When he was there, he had issues with his toilet overflowing almost the entire time he was there. I also had to complain about baby roaches in his bathroom and ants in his living area. I also didn't think that they cleaned as thoroughly as promised.
The activities seemed to be great. They had movies for them, and they played bingo. They have a gentleman that comes in every other Friday. With quarantine, he couldn't come in, but he stood outside the door and he would sing oldies songs for about an hour while they were in the lobby. The activities seemed to be pretty ever present. They had raffles, and they had walking groups where they would go outside and walk around when they could to get some fresh air. They had something going on every single day.
Most of the staff was very nice and helpful. I had one person who I seemed to have a difficult time getting anything from when I would call, but most of the staff was very good. I never ate there, but I was told the food was very good. They were very expensive for me and they didn't take Medicaid. Because my husband is a diabetic who uses insulin, it was difficult to find an assisted living facility for him.

I thought Wayman Place was very friendly, open, and welcoming. However, it's very small, and the rooms were very, very small. The staff was very nice. We looked at what they had to offer in the way of rooms. It was lunchtime when we were there, so we couldn't go into the dining facility, and the room was very old.

My mom is in Wayman Place. It's a smaller facility with only 60 people, and they all seemed to be very friendly and know each other. I like the staff. They had a deluxe and a deluxe special which is a bigger room. My mom's room has plenty of room. The grounds are very nice, and it's set back from the main road, so it's quiet. They offer a lot of activities.

It was smaller than expected. The rooms were a little smaller; more like an efficiency than a room you would want to stay in or a hotel room. The staff was friendly and tried to answer all my questions. They were kind, but the surroundings just weren’t what we were looking for. I don’t think they can improve unless they make the place larger. It was just smaller; not as many people, and not as many rooms. The carpets were kind of dirty when we were there, and they could maybe clean it up; maybe new carpet, and keep it cleaner. It’s not too inviting when you walk in somewhere and you see that.

It was really good. However, it was more assisted living, and my loved one is more inclined to independent living. The staff gave me the tour and information packages and followed up with me quite a few times to see if I had any more questions or if they could answer any concerns I might have. The place was smaller than the other ones we saw and had smaller rooms without full kitchens. The rooms were more efficiency-type with a microwave instead of a full kitchen. They had buses that come and go, bingo, and arts and crafts.

It was a little bit more modern, updated in their facilities, and newer than the other place I visited, but they basically provided the same type of services. They do the laundry, meals, and transportation. I really liked their staff. They're easygoing, and they would not hammer you so hard. They were more like one-room type of facility, and they had activities like arts and crafts.

My mom has been in since August. Cost was the main reason we chose it. The room is like a little suite, and it has a microwave, sink, cabinets, and 2 big closets. The staff is very good. The food is excellent. They have specials for the day, but you can also choose off of the different menu if you would like something else. We had tossed salad and barbecue chicken with all kinds of different sides; it was very, very good.
They do have a little exercise class in the mornings. They do history trivia. They have a lot of musical talent that comes in. They have an activities room on the second floor. The people can do different things. I’ve gotten to be very, very close to the director and also the marketing director. They care very much about the residents.

It is the one I’m going to go with if I can’t find anything else. The rooms are nice and clean. The activities are interesting. They have different art things, getting out, and dances. The staff was wonderful and very nice. I’m happy with the tour.

I have visited brethrens who have rooms here. This community was very good. They have a policy of letting a family member and friend join the loved ones staying there with the meal and they let the occasional meal that you would have with them, be free. They wouldn't charge me for it. That was really nice. They did have a nice activity room. They had a nice rehab room, it didn't seem big.

I like it for my grandmother. I like that it is a smaller place and that it is only two floors. I like the in-house therapy there. I also like the people and the accessibility to my relative. However, the meals, I think, are pretty poor. Also their dining room. It is a basic assisted living facility.

It was very good. The staff seemed friendly with the residents when they were engaging in their activities. The rooms were very nice as well as the dining room although I did not eat there.

I have come across it through an online search. It was a brand new facility but it was just out of my budget. The staff was very nice. They showed me everything. They're very good and very efficient. The place was immaculate and the food was good. I like that people there were nice too.

I visited this facility when I was looking for a temporary place for my Dad to stay while we were away. It is a very beautiful place. When I toured the facility the residents were engaged in activities and seemed happy. The room I was shown was lovely. Everything was clean and welcoming. We ended up not choosing this facility because it is a bit distant from our home.

I just had a request for my mother to stay for one week while we went on vacation. Her stay there was very good and she liked it pretty well, but there was no need for her to go there fulltime. When we do, we will consider this place.

My parents are moving in on Thursday. We chose this place based on the relationship with the staff and their residents, the care that they gave them, the rooms that the apartments had, and how the place looked to me.
