This facility may look great at first glance, but they are under staffed! My mom would get frequent UTI's and I would ask for her to be tested and it wouldn't get done. Several times we had to take her to urgent care just to get her tested and on medication. The Doctors group that goes to this facility is not very attentive either. The staff cuts corners just to get by. We saw a some things going on that were safety issues. The Director of Nursing seems nice, but again, being understaffed he would never return calls and things would just not get addressed. The final straw was they were pushing to get my mom into memory care. We knew that side of the building was understaffed as well, but they kept pushing us to move her. They actually told us they had her room rented when we had paid our bill for the month. We moved her, but not into their memory care! Best advise, don't look for the pretty building with all the bells and whistles; look for a full staff who cares for the residents well being!

My relative was a resident at Strive at Fern Park. It was new and it was very clean. The chef there was like a gourmet chef, he was very good. The nurses were very good. It was spacious enough for her needs, and it was kept clean. You see people meeting in groups, doing crafts, and having things to do with music, it's very nice. It's convenient in the Orlando area.

Strive at Fern Park looked brand new and it was very welcoming. The only concerns we had were how far she might have to walk or something. The facility was lovely, and you can eat whenever you want. They have an activities room, an activities director, and a beauty shop on campus that's contracted out. We were able to see a one-bedroom, an alcove, and a studio apartment.

I moved into Strive at Fern Park. It's modern, it's clean, the people are very friendly, and the price is competitive. The room is very nice. It's a good size for us, it's quiet, and we're not going to be disturbed. There's a full-sized refrigerator, and it more than meets our needs. The staff is excellent, and they're very friendly. The food is prepared by a chef, and it's high class. They have activities all day. I saw bingo, a number of activities to keep your mind fresh, and a number of different games they play like golfing and Wi-Fi games.

My sister moved to Strive at Fern Park, and she is very satisfied. The food is excellent. It's a new facility. It's just been open a year. The people are very friendly, and the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. She hasn't participated in activities yet. It's just a year old, so it's very clean, and she is enjoying it so far.

The facility is beautiful visually but in my opinion that is where it ends. My mother’s cognition and health took a nosedive in this facility and as soon as she got out, she returned closer to her baseline. She had falls almost everyday at this facility and since being in my home for a week has not fallen or even stumbled. Our family fears there were medicine errors as my husband found a pill on the floor in her room. On one occasion I entered my moms room to find days worth of boxed meals stacked up, the staff hadn’t assisted her with cleaning. On two occasions she told me the staff took a long time to assist her if she fell. My family’s worst experience was when we all noticed a change in my mothers me ration and called for four days to inform nursing. We were told it was depression and our opinion was not heard until the facility doctor finally decided to send her to acute care, 4.5 days after we began calling concerned. She was severely hyponatremic (119 and typical is 130). We would never recommend anyone place their loved on in this facility.
