I visited a family friend over the holidays and I must say the staff was the most pleasant staff I have ever encountered in an assisted living setting and believe me I visit at least 10 per week for my church. The residents all seem to be happy enjoying hot cocoa and singing carols. They even had residents from their memory care over on AL side singing. The staff and residents act as if they are one big family. If I had to move my parents this would be one of the places on the top of my list. I had the pleasure of staying for lunch and the cook Belinda really put out some of the best food I've ever seen in a facility I could eat a meal from her every day. Everything was just so clean and nice you couldn't ask for anything nicer for your parents. All I can say is Palmetto Landing keep up the awesome work.

Palmetto Landing was fine. The rooms were very small, and it was a long distance to walk from the room to the dining area or the activity area. I saw the big dining area. They had nice, wide hallways, and it was easy to get around. It was very bright, and everything looked very clean.

We are going to move mom into Palmetto Landing. My sister went there a week ago, and I went with her yesterday. I liked the openness of it. I liked the colors; it just stood out, and it's just very appealing to the eye. It's roomy, it was very clean, but I liked the color scheme of it, because it just put you in a good mood when you walked in. The staff was phenomenal, absolutely phenomenal. The facility was very neat, clean, and very well laid out. Everything was really spacious, including the eating areas. The location was only seven minutes from my sister (she lives here), so she will be the one who is going to see my mother. The convenience of being near to her was a big key in us deciding on this place.

Palmetto Landing was not appropriate for my mother-in-law. It was at a lower level than what she was used to. It appears more like a nursing home than an assisted living place. They need an overhaul of the place.

I went to Palmetto Landing. It was OK, but their dining facility was like a cafeteria, and my grandmother would not like that. The staff was really nice, but it was not a good fit for her. I did not get a warm and fuzzy feeling there. I remember them having a sitting area and an outdoor area.

Brookdale Tuskawilla was very nice. I was very impressed. The staff was very professional, very friendly, and very nice. I liked the rooms. Some of them were a little bit smaller than others, but they were big enough, neat, and clean. At the time, there were some people in the gym doing exercises. The location was good. If a family came, they could go out and have something to eat with them or go to the mall because it was not too far away.

We chose Brookdale Tuskawilla for my mom. Besides the fact that it was clean, and the food was good; I like the friendliness of the people that I met. I talked to some of the residents, and got their opinions as well so that was really important to me. I just had a feeling that this would be a perfect place. We are very happy with it.

There were a lot of good things about Brookdale Tuskawilla, like the atmosphere, the meal selection, and the room size. The staff is very good. I thought the rooms were of a good size. The food is very good, and she’s very happy. They do a lot of things, like go shopping, have dancing and card parties, and go on museum tours.

Alfreda, my friend, has been in Brookdale Tuskawilla for three years now. It is a good place with everything that she will ever need. She is in a private room, which is simply decorated. It has a single bed, a shower, closet, and a TV. I frequently visit her there as a guest. I would say that the food is good. The staff is able to handle the residents for the most part. They help my friend take a bath and do laundry for her. I am very thankful for everything.

My mom is in Emeritus, and dad was here before. It was close and convenient for family visits. They are very friendly and helpful. It’s a typical assisted living facility. They had a lot of activities to participate in that I saw; they had a full calendar like bingo, movie nights, field trips out to various shopping places, and once a week they do a lunch out to nearby restaurants.
It’s kind of a mixed skilled nursing with the assisted living. The rooms are very clean -- they just redid it about three years ago -- and it is absolutely a quiet place. They have a good nature out back; it is near a retention pond that has wild life all around it. They are quiet and secluded. The food is kind of typical as far as like home cooking kind of meals and kind of home style. I have recommended the facility to people.

I am a friend of an individual who had a respite stay. This place is really nice, It smelled good, food was great. Staff
was friendly and passionate about the foks living there. The Executive Director and Resident Care Director
along with the rest of the crew were always ready to help.
These people really care about the elderly, they go above and beyond on a daily basis. We visited several other assisted living communities. This emeritus community continues to be our top contender.

The meals at Emeritus at Tuskawilla were not as good as the other facilities. They had pretty nice rooms there. They were decent sizes, not too small. In terms of security, I think it is very safe because they have lock-up hour at a certain time. I would say this community is pretty secure.

Beware of placing anyone at this facility that requires attention and/or assistance. We had a family member whose room was never clean, bathroom was never clean, and our loved one was never clean and all they could say is that they "were having staff issues". They never provided the services we were paying for unless we complained. So unless your loved one is independent - stay away! The director is about as unprofessional as I have ever seen. Terrible, terrible, terrible place!

Emeritus was very nice. It was an excellent facility. The staff did a great job. She was informative, and I had no issues with her at all. The single rooms were kind of small. They didn't have a double room, which was much more to my parents liking. They didn't like the smallest of the single rooms. The dining room was very nice, well organized and detailed. It was a very good atmosphere.

We visited Emeritus. I liked that it was close. However, it had a very strong citrusy odor that I was allergic to, so we didn't stay very long. They could work on getting rid of the citrusy odor.

Emeritus was very good and I was happy with them. The staff was excellent. There were some activities going on with the residents. They brought me into the rooms and they were very nice. The dining room was very nice but I did not eat there.

I would urge you to think twice about having your loved one stay here. They screwed up the dosages on my my loved ones required medication. As my loved one progressively got worse they did nothing to try and help her. I understand that the patient has to be willing but if we did not move her we feel she may not have made the improvement she made since. Also they can not seem to keep staff and directors for very long here. Very little if any staff still there that we know of from when we moved her there.

I didn’t have much opportunity to look around at Emeritus at Tuskawilla, but the facility is beautiful. They have an activity's director and they listed the things to do in the hallway. They have bingo, church meetings, and it looked like they had a game room going on just about all the time. At that time, the place was full so I didn’t spend a lot of time researching.

I like Emeritus at Tuskawilla because it wasn't too large nor too small. They had an outdoor area with little garden pathway and a gazebo, but it was all enclosed within the facility so residents couldn't wander or get lost. The room that I got to see was not too big nor too small. It does allow for a sofa and a good-sized closet. It also has a little kitchenette but no stove, so accidents can be prevented. It has a nice big window where my mom could look at a view outside. Also they had a variety of activities and they had Sunday Services. Lastly, I found the admission personnel to be extremely helpful. They even called us to do follow up.

My 90 year old grandfather had resided in the Tuskawilla Emeritus since August 21, 2010 until he passed away, and I cannot say strong enough praise regarding the facility. My grandfather was treated with respect and patience. His residence is kept very clean and tidy, the trash can's seem to be always empty. His restroom was always well-kept and sanitary. Emeritus really felt like home for him and made his last days special. It receives constant professional attention from the maintenance manager. Also contributing to the feel at home feeling is Deborah, who is the "Cruise" Director. She always has many activities planned for each day .The kitchen staff provides great tasting and healthy meals. They would have family brunches about once a month. This is where the whole family could come for brunch. It was a great feature as it was a good setting to bring the younger members of the family to see grandpa. All in all Emeritus is a great facility and I would recommend to anyone who has an elderly relative who needs a new residence.

My Grandmother lived in this facility before she passed away. It is a very clean and comfortable facility, with friendly staff and a "home like", welcoming environment. There is ample indoor and outdoor space for the residents to enjoy. My Grandmother lived in an assisted living setting, with her own small apartment to enjoy. We always loved the fact that she had the care she needed, but also her own space to go to when she wanted (a private room with a small fridge, television, bed, and sitting area). Activities in the facility were plentiful and, though my Grandmother could (chose to) keep to herself at times, she was always personally invited to attend them by members of the nursing and activities staff. I loved the fact that they made her feel included, but still respected her privacy when she did decide to say no at times and just enjoy her own space / private time. Visitors in the facility were always welcomed by the reception staff and invited to attend meals, activities, and enjoy outdoor time with the residents if they so chose. When my Grandmother passed, the staff at the facility remained very compassionate with our family and respectful of the time it took to clear her personal belongings, say our goodbyes, etc. It was obvious that they respected and loved her as a member of their family and we really appreciated that during our time of need. I really cannot say enough positive about this facility. I would highly recommend it and would not hesitate to place another loved one there if the need arose.
