When my mother first got out of the hospital, we had a caregiver through a company called Interim Care. They were covered by Medicare that's why we had them. At first, they sounded like they would be wonderful, but I found out that they were not quite as organized and as receptive as I had hoped for. Eventually, they worked out all right for the short period of time that we had them. With regards to the management, I would have to initiate most of what I want from them. I had to constantly double check the caregiver's schedules, make all the phone calls, etc. When I was not happy with the way things were going, I had to deal with them. There was a little bit of a pushback even though eventually they would do what I wanted. It was a little frustrating. I was also less impressed with the actual care, although a couple of people on board were actually very pleasant to work with. Overall Interim Care was okay. I felt they were fair. I was not thrilled or anything with their service to be exact.
