Forwood Manor is a full service, continuing care rental retirement community. We have 140 independent living apartments, 37 assisted living suites, and a 72-bed health care center for rehabilitative skilled nursing on-site. The apartments operate on rental basis - no endowment or purchase required. In Independent Living and Assisted Living we offer spacious, private suites with one level of living; family-style dining with menu options; a variety of comfortable and tastefully-appointed community areas with artwork; acres of beautiful landscaping with outdoor areas to walk and relax; weekly housekeeping and flat linen service; social, educational, spiritual and recreational activities; scheduled local transportation service available; concierge services; maintenance of building and grounds; 24-hour emergency call response system provided.

My tour at Forwood Manor wasn't a very good thing because when I went there they ended up with COVID, so I wasn't able to see much. Now the people can go down to eat two meals a day, but when I was there everybody was in their apartments, and there were no social activities and nothing going on. But it was a very nice place. The staff have been having quite a lot of problems, like people will leave, then someone will come in, and then they leave again, so who knows what's going on. I found that the ladies who take care of the people there seem to be very nice. The kitchen seemed to be very nice, but I couldn't tell much because of COVID. They offered a very nice meal. The facility is pretty good, the outside and the rooms are nice, and the place is well kept.

My mother was in Forwood Manor for rehabilitation. The staff was really good. It was a huge building. They have independent living and regular senior living. They have a lot to offer. I was not happy with their physical therapy team. They didn't even push Mom. The food was great. Her room was semi-private, but there wasn't another person in there. It was a good size. They have a gym and a nice library. The assisted living rooms are like staying at the Taj Mahal. It's modern and very upscale. I like that you can get a sandwich in between meals, and they have a coffee machine and little private rooms for guests. We even reserved a room for Mom's birthday.
