We're leaning towards Millcroft Living. From the ones we looked at so far, that was the best one. The feel of the place and the staff we talked to was better than in other places. The residents seemed to be in good spirits, and that's one of the main things. Also, the layout was just a little more homey-feeling. The staff who gave me the tour was very good. She was very personable, and she gave us a good tour. It's a fairly extensive tour; we got to see quite a bit. The rooms were clean, and the closets were big. They're fairly large; they're fairly good size rooms. The closets were big, and the bathroom was nice. They have happy hour, they have a movie night, and they have a shuttle bus where they go out and do things once in a while. There was a couple of bridge tables going. The surroundings were a very pleasant area; it's kind of a little bit more in the country.

Millcroft Living was nice. The lady who helped me was very pleasant, helpful, cordial, and informative. I saw the activities room that had movies, games, arts, and crafts. The rooms were very small. I'm just comparing it to where my mom is now, and it just didn't measure up to the same aesthetic of the place.

Millcroft took very good care of my friend. We were very disappointed with the food. We told them my friend didn't like any kind of seafood, and yet she would continually be given tuna fish sandwiches for lunch. We also told them that she didn't like peas, but they'd still give her those on her dinner plate as well as split pea soup. They'd also give her canned fruit as opposed to fresh fruit for breakfast.

We saw Millcroft. Out of all the ones that we visited, my parents did like this place the best. There was enough room, and they have laundry where they need it. The location is good. It was clean, and the people were nice. It was also in their price range.

I really liked Millcroft. They showed me the open places and gave me a tour of the facility. They have a place for people that need more assisted living and a place for people that can live on their own. Right now, my parents are OK to live on their own. They just need somebody to help fix meals and check to make sure that they're OK. It offers two-week respite instead of having to be there for a month. They have a lot of activities and were geared more to the needs of my parents, so I really enjoyed that place. It looks like one I would probably use.

I went to Millcroft. It was very good. The people were very nice. They took the time to give us a tour and answer our questions. They still contact me every once in a while to see how I’m doing and if my needs have changed. The community was very nice. It was very well-kept and clean. It was also quiet. There was a calendar of activities. There was one posted in the elevator and one posted in the lobby. They had a community room, too. When we were there, there was entertainment going on. They would bring in entertainment every once in a while. They also had someone telling stories. The unit that we toured had been renovated, and it was very nice. It was clean and quite large. They had different room sizes and different prices.

My Sister and I toured millcroft, we heard good things from friends in the neighborhood. We toured the independent side and the assisted living side. The independent has very large apartments, compared to the assisted living side. The smaller of the two sizes, where about the size of a large closet. Only enough room for a twin bed, night stand and a TV stand with TV. Plus the price without levels of care start at $6500 a month. The second size was almost 3 times larger with a nice walk-in closet, with the cost of $8700, not including care. The prices listed on caring.com, are for the independent side, not the assisted living side. It did have a nice feature, that all levels where under one roof. We did notice that the front desk person and several other workers eating lunch in the patient area near the bar area. During the tour, they where very loud and my sister heard one of them curse. Other then the price, size of the apartments. It might be a good fit for someone, just not ours.

My son and I visited Millcroft, and he really liked the place. He liked the way that there are three different levels of care. I saw that the staff did very well with the residents, and their management was good. I saw the rooms, and they were very nice and clean. They have a nice little outdoor area for them to sit also. The dining room is very clean and very nice.

The staff who deals directly with my family member are excellent. The kitchen staff does a wonderful job with meal preparation and the food is very good. However, when it comes to communication regarding private pay, billing, medicare and medicaid issues everything breaks down. I have been waiting over two weeks now to get answers to questions I posed both over the phone and email with still no response. There have also been several breakdowns in communication with regard to the 1st floor nursing station. A better job needs to be done regarding communication with families with regard to these issues. Their lack of communication leads one to believe Millcroft is solely interested in private pay for profit.

My brother and I stopped in for a tour, no appointment as most communities require. But, when we spoke with Joe, he said that he was available during the day and evening hours and that there were managers on duty that would be glad to give us a tour as well. The front desk person Kathy, was very welcoming, she offer us coffee and a brochure while we filled out information. Joe was just finishing up with another tour, when he introduced himself and his co-worker who was the assistant executive director. Joe was great, offering us water or coffee. He really did a great job with sharing information about Millcroft. Giving the benefits of why our Mom would love to live at his community. He spoke to us more as a friend, then someone trying to sell us something. We toured both the independent and assisted living. Independent had some great closets (walk-in), they had one and two bedroom apartment, only one available was a two bedroom with a patio, but they might have a one bedroom open by the end of next month. They have a waiting list for there independent apartments. The assisted living has a more home like setting, there was only 26 apartments, Joe says that they have a great staff to resident care numbers, plus there is a nurse available if needed. The residents when at a birthday party with entertainment, they all seem to really enjoy themselves. We really liked the outdoor patio that any of the residents at Millcroft could go out and enjoy. We were sold on Millcroft, but especially Joe and the information that we didn't know about veterans aide and attendance program, as well as Mom's long term care policy that could be used when she goes into assisted living. Needless to say, we put a deposit down and Mom is moving in by the end of the month.

We liked the rooms that were available at Millcroft. We liked the fact that it had independent, assisted, and skilled nursing. We liked the fact that therapy was on-site. We happened to have a different meal there. It was their Continental breakfast. They had good food choices for the residents. It was just a little less social for what I was looking for for my dad. They had activities, but they just didn't seem to be as much. The staff was very knowledgeable. If they weren't sure about something they promised to get back to us, and they did.

We toured this community over the weekend, it was perfect for our parents. We were looking for a place that when they needed more care it was available to them. They are more independent, Dad drives and Mom only needs a care. But, if Mom or Dad needed more care say after a fall or they had a car accident, they could go to the rehab center on the same property. We checked other senior communities, none of them had a rehab or a nursing site on their properties. Almost of the other Independent and Assisted Living communities when asked the question of what would happen if say Dad went into the hospital and needed a nursing home, were would they go. All of them didn't want to talk about that, saying lets not talk about that if it's not going to happen. Well, we are thinking ahead for our parent's future. When pushed the other senior communities said "Millcroft". That's why our parents will be moving into this senior community.

Millcroft is beautiful! I'd say one of the best. It was very nice and very clean. The only problem was that it was too expensive, way over a normal person's budget. All the rooms were very nice. The dining room and the facilities were very clean. I hadn't seen any of them that were not suitable to live in.

The facility was a generally beautiful place compared to some of the other nursing homes that I have seen. Most of the staff was generally friendly some of them just did'nt seem willing to talk to people like they were just there to get paid but aside from the few that I happened to walk past that looked a little down the ones that I actually had conversations with regarding the care of my loved one, they were extremely friendly and helpful.
