The Residences at Thomas Circle is very neat, bright, and cheerful. It looks more like a hotel than an assisted living place.

My mother-in-law has moved to The Residences, and she is very happy there. It is full care, so if she needs assisted living or skilled nursing, it is all there. We chose it because of the full range of care as well as the culture of the place. There are a lot of retired professionals there and people who have a similar intellectual background as my mother-in-law, so it seems like a good fit. There are so much activities, like movies and concerts in-house and out every night, and talks several times a week. The place is casual and not too fussy. The building is actually an old hotel.

The assisted living and memory care areas are understaffed. A gentleman was lost and died as a result. None of the actual staff who cares directly for your loved one is a native English speaker. The staff, esp. nurse has excessive turnover. Even in assisted living, you will need to hire private aides because the staff is inadequate, inattentive, and unskilled.

The Residences at Thomas Circle seems to be an adequate facility. It's well-kept and clean. The rooms were of adequate size as well. I was only interested in a one bedroom, and there was enough space for me if I intend to go there. They do provide three types of living from independent all the way to end of care life. Everyone was friendly too.

I like the location of The Residences at Thomas Circle. It was an older facility. It was nicely done but it was definitely aged. However, it was very clean. One thing I didn't like about their rooms was that they didn't have central heating. The staff was adequate but I didn't have much contact with them. They did have activities like movie every nights and games. They have specific-interest groups like German club and French club. They would have people come in and do lectures. They also have religious services there.

The Residences are well run, immaculate and have a lovely, caring staff. Along with the day to day services there are a plethora of extra activities. The residents are varied but have one thing in common - they are well educated, interesting people who expect to live in a stimulating atmosphere.

My grandmother is a resident of this facility, and she loves it.The people there are very friendly, and they have a lot of great amenities..The apartments are spacious, and most of them have balconies, and my two favorite amenities are the 24-hour emergency call system and the special bathroom fixtures for the elderly. They offer movie/bingo nights, exercise classes, and bible study/Sunday services, which my grandmother enjoys thoroughly. The community boasts a bistro, a fitness & wellness center, a chapel, a salon, a convenience store, a computer lab, a theater room, and MUCH more, but the highlight of the community has got to be the rooftop patio and swimming pool. My grandma loves it, so I love it.

This facility offers independent and assisted living and memory care"”and recently added skilled nursing care. It's in a very nice, beautiful building that has a downtown feeling.
The rooms are of a nice size; most residents have a private bedroom and bath. There is also a common bathing area for those need assistance, and a common dining area and dayroom for activities that everyone can use.
The activities in the memory care area seem fitting for the residents' abilities"”and the nurses are right there supervising them. For those in assisted living, outings and many other types of activities are offered, in addition to group exercise classes.
The quality of care is pretty good. The nurses seem to be involved and engaged with residents. There's a good staff to resident ratio. Occupational therapists, physical therapists, dentists"”all different disciplines are made available conveniently.
As for food, there are several options provided for the more independent residents. The food is varied and appealing. Snacks also are provided throughout the day.
There seems to be a variety of residents at this facility"”from very independent who can still go out in the community to those who need a lot of care.
The cost is moderate, and Medicaid is accepted.
