This is a senior apartment housing complex"”all residents must be 62 or older. It is subsidized housing in a midrise complex that takes up an entire city block. But despite its size, it doesn't feel overwhelming.
Many of the residents are wheelchair-bound, and the entire place is accessible to them, with ramps and wide hallways.
Its location borders the northeast and southeast parts of the city"”which convenient for residents since there's a shopping center across the street that includes a Safeway, and public transportation is also nearby.
There is secured access; residents must buzz in all visitors. It's clean, but a pretty dated facility; the carpet and furniture have a somewhat worn look and feel.
There is a little common area in the basement, but residents don't seem to use it much, and there is no other place outside the rooms that is set up for congregating.
The living units are one-bedrooms. Each one has a small kitchen and a living room. The bedrooms and a bathroom are nice size. Again, the interior s seem rather dated. However, residents who have maintenance matters get quick and appropriate help, which is a plus.
People seem to keep pretty much to themselves, so it may not be the best pace for people who crave camaraderie.
This is a good solid subsidized housing place, as there is no chaotic feel to it.
