We were able to visit the Anthology of Farmington. The place was beautiful and it's large, which is both a pro and a con for elderly people. The place was gorgeous with lots of community rooms, and they're spread out a lot, which I think is one of the downfalls there. The activities were spread throughout the building instead of being more centralized, which was the thing that deterred us because my mother might struggle and get lost. The rooms were very nice and well-equipped, and the staff was all friendly and willing to accommodate requests or needs. They had a very nice menu with lots of options like specials per se, and then there's a regular everyday menu.

Anthology of Farmington seemed empty. I visited once with my dad and then we visited on the weekends and it was just as quiet both times. That's because it's a very active community. They just went there, slept there, and there weren't a lot of people left. We went there at lunch and there were probably eight people together that were there in the building. We've been to lunch at every other place and it was a full dining room. I think if my dad was still driving, it would have been a contender. It's a very beautiful facility. They had all the amenities that we were looking for. They had a theater, a little woodworking area for arts and crafts stuff, outdoor gardening, and a lot of activities. The lady that toured us was very nice and very good. The quality of the food was also very good.

I went to look at the Anthology of Farmington. The person I spoke to was very nice and informative. She took me through to show me the possible unit my mother could be staying in. She showed me the cafeteria area, dining area, and some amenities for seniors like the movie room, outside courtyard area, and place where they would go for exercise. The cost of this place was a big deterrent. It was very expensive, even in comparison with some other places. The staff was kind, and patient, and answered all my questions. I saw a studio and a one-bedroom. The facility was brand new.

Anthology of Farmington was a little bit less flexible in the transportation. They only went out 10 miles, and then it was a pretty expensive price after that. That was one drawback to that facility from our perspective. The layout there was really, really nice. We really liked the layout of the rooms there. It's very new. It's only two years old. They had a microwave, a dishwasher, and a washer and dryer. The cost was more than the other place; but everything else (the staff, the facilities, the menu, the food), all would have been a 5. It's the pricing that finally moved us to choose the other place over Anthology.

I found Anthology of Farmington for my wife. I'm not sure if she's going within the next few days. She's in the hospital right now. I got a recommendation from somebody to stay there. They seem very helpful and very friendly. It's brand new, everything is brand new, clean, bright, it's phenomenal, and it's better than most places that I've ever stayed in. They gave me a free lunch and it was very good. Everything is up to date. It's only been open six months I think. My wife isn't there yet.

We went to Anthology of Farmington. The rooms in the main building were beautiful. It was great that they had washers and dryers right in the apartment. The place itself was beautiful. When you walk in, it is contemporary, and modern, which I like. We had lunch there. The food was OK, but it needed some extra seasonings in our opinions. They had their breakfast, lunch, and dinner all on one page and it stayed like that besides the special of the day every day. I was surprised that they didn't have more of a selection in food. I was a little disappointed with that. The staff member who gave me the tour was very good. She was very nice. She did a pretty good job.
