Everyone was skilled and caring- we made the right choice for rehab by coming to Whitney. Safety was our foremost concern.

I often visit my friend at Whitney Rehabilitation Care Center. The facility is kept really clean. All the aides and the assistants are really friendly, nice, and patient. I recommend that place to anyone. They really take care of their residents. When I go there, I feed my friend with the best looking food that they serve. They have a yard outside that they can go to. They have music, arts and crafts. They have different activities. I'm pretty sure it's really worth the price. You don't have to worry about taking care of anything.

Patient was admitted from a previous facility for a more productive treatment. The treatment plan was well developed and effective. The administrative and nursing staff was very pleasant and responsive to the patient's needs as well as to inquiries from her caretaker. One sensed a determination from the physical, speech and occupational therapists to achieve positive results with their efforts. The facility is older in appearance but clean and well maintained. Food was not tasted but looked good in appearance

I was very impressed with the Whitney building. The beauty of the place, and the design. The physical therapist does a great job. The nursing staff was wonderful and they do a lot to make you very comfortable. I loved getting visits.

Everyone there was wonderful! You couldn't ask for a better place to be if you need rehab! I would give 6 stars instead of 5 stars if I could!

My wife is currently here. She seems to be getting adequate care overall. Initially, se came here from Yale Hospital where she had higher than normal temperatures. She was eventually diagnosed with a bone infection; which sent her back to the hospital again. After two weeks there she re-entered Whitney Rehab.

I have been a resident at Whitney Rehab for 3 weeks. I am very happy and impressed by the therapy staff. I have come so far with their support. Catherine, Lisa and Theresa assist me and teach me. When my sister toured with Kathleen you felt as if she wanted you here, she truly cares. My only suggestion is the food quality but the selection is wonderful.

My father-in-law is in Whitney Manor, and we are happy. Our experience is excellent. The staff is very courteous. The facility is very clean, and they are very accommodating. Everything is beautiful. He has his own bedroom, and it is very clean. He is doing rehabilitation and physical therapy. The security is very good.

The reception area looked nice, and the communal dining room was clean. I didn't see very many relatives or friends of the residents visiting to have dinner with the residents, though. There didn't seem to be quite enough staff to go around, but I think that's pretty standard unless you're in a really high-end nursing home. There were a decent number of nurse aids but few actual nurses (RNs or LPNs), which worried me a little, but again, I think that's just how most places are. I remember that the hallways and rooms were also fairly clean. There's no garden or any place for the residents to walk outside - the building is right on a busy road. Overall I found it to be somewhat bland, but probably not a bad choice if you really need the care and you're on a limited income. I don't think I would put my relatives there if I could help it.

I had a two knee replacements. I entered into a rehab facility for the first one that was a nightmare. My total experience was horrible, due to the bad service and attitude of the staff. For my second knee surgery, someone told me to try Whitney Manor. Well, what a difference! Very happy with the nursing and therapy staff. TLC is their motto, and that's exactly what I received. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. This atmosphere played a big part in my fast recovery.
