It seemed like the staff at Waveny Care Center was there because they had to be there and seemed overwhelmed. They did what they had to and did it right, but they didn't do anything extra. They had a garden outside that was pretty, and a facility room where they had their exercise. They were all trying, but there were too many people for the amount of staff, so everything was looking tired.

Waveny Care Center appears very nice and is kept well. There are many staff members including full time nurses throughout the night, janitorial staff, and other patient care staff. Given this, however, many of the staff, including the nurses speak with heavy accents which makes it hard for many of the elderly residents who are already hard of hearing to understand. Because of this, patient care is not as efficient as it could be. There are good aspects though. Each person staying in the facility has their own room with a bed, television, and bathroom. Having spoken to people currently staying there, they seem happy yet bored, and seemed all too eager to have a conversation with a complete stranger, me.
