My dad is living in Balfour Cherrywood Village, and our overall impression of the place is good. The staff is great and we love them. They seem to have plenty of activities, and they do some walking exercises with him. Overall, it's a good community.

I've done assessments for clients (I'm a social worker) and have been on professional tours here. It's a memory care assisted living community about 10 minutes from Boulder.
I like the staff here. They're well educated in memory care and attentive to the residents' needs. It's a good fit for someone needing memory care, because that's all they do.
The facility is homelike, and the rooms are spacious. It holds about 50 residents, and it's set up like a large house, with wings. It's about 10-15 years old and has been well cared for.
The activities are good. But the one thing I don't like is that the activities room is right by the front door, so people coming and going can be distracting and lead to behavior issues.
The food is also pretty good--nutritious--and they cater to memory care needs.
