We had my mother transferred to Mesa Vista in the middle of March 2018. It was the best decision I made. The staff is professional, warm, caring and the Director Christine is a amazing. She runs a facility that is to be proud of. She and her staff of medical experts / nurses have gotten mom's medications adjusted properly to the point where mom is somewhat mom again from the old days at times. She has dementia. The staff interacts with residents on many different levels and adjusts accordingly depending on particular needs at the time. The activities department does a wonderful job with the residents in both group activities and one on one interventions / activities depending on what residents abilities / cognitive level is. They will modify the activities to suit the resident so he or she can be part of the group / family. The facility is an old hospital, that was turned into a skilled nursing facility. There are many new facilities out there, but they would have a hard time to meet or provide the care, compassion and warmth that Mesa Vista does each and every day that I have seen and herd stories about from other families in similar situations. I would highly recommend this facility to any family who's loved one is in need of assistance, and I am proud to have my mom part of their family as well. Thank You Meas Vista for help helping us. Sincerely, Tim V.

I have been a private in-home caregiver for the last 6 years (after I retired from my career). Prior to that I cared for aging and disabled family members. I have been in and around nursing homes and rehab centers in California, Colorado and New Mexico for decades. Over the past year, I have had a client as a resident of Mesa Vista of Boulder and his family, I honestly have been blown away by the care and the caring of this facility's staff. Everyone was so caring and kind to my client and so very helpful to me to be able to make his end-of-life experience comfortably, easy and positive for him and his family. Not only is the staff amazing, but the facility itself is great. It is an older building however it is very well kept clean and neat. As with many facilities, it is not the "tile floor", unfriendly, smelly area! It has a nice decor, it is clean and it does not smell like most nursing homes (I have been on all 4 floors) I have been in. There are also some awesome views of the foothills. I hope this note helps you decide to visit Mesa Vista and see for yourself.

My husband was a resident of Mesa Vista the last year of his life. To my surprise, it was a positive time thanks to the wonderful, caring staff. My husband was rapidly deteriorating but due to the diligent work of the nurses and therapists the decline was slowed, giving him greater quality of life in his last months. Everyone, from all the nurses to the cleaning staff, made an effort to know him. The staff continually worked to accommodate his wishes and mine. When the end was near, they eased his passing with love and genuine care. Yes, the building is old but appearance isn't what counts. The staff was stellar and that's what matters! I highly recommend Mesa Vista.

I have had both of my grand parents at Mesa Vista. I love the care and personal touch of the staff. The building is a bit old, but the staff and cares are great. My grandfather likes dancing at the happy hour and my grandma won a holloween costume contest.

I have ran many calls at this facility during my time on the ambulance. The patients were always dirty, the facility smelled of urine, nurses were never to be found, and when they finally were they had no idea what was going on with the patient. The conditions here are truly horrendous. There seems to be little to no interest by the staff to actually take care of the people they are supposed to be responsible for. This is perhaps the worst nursing home that I have ever seen while working on the ambulance. If you have loved ones here get them to a different facility as soon as possible.
