We went to The Fountains of Hilltop. That's a wonderful facility. It's beautiful. All the staff were friendly. Everything they have set up makes sense. It's easy to get around. That one could be our first choice except the price is so high, and it is a larger building. The room size is nice. The amenities are great. Everybody gets to put decorations on the outside of their door and the little area right by their door. So you can decorate for the season, which is nice. Everything about them was great. The location is the best. You drive through a neighborhood to get there. So there are nice houses and nice yards, and so you feel like you're going to somebody's house. It's a beautiful location. That was my favorite location.

The Fountains of Hilltop was really good. The place was clean. Everybody there was very nice. The staff who gave me the tour was very nice and very informative. The rooms were all clean, and they all looked good. The dining area looked excellent to me. There were nice shady areas outdoors and good seating. There wasn't anything that looked bad or broken or anything.

My mother was at The Fountains of Hilltop for eight years (about four years of independent living and four years of assisted living). Ever since Covid has started, they have rated in the negative numbers as far as I'm concerned - zero. They've had a lot of change over in staff, but they pay basically minimum wage for their staff. No wonder they have problems. When they had problems, we had problems. They don't seem to realize that. When she was doing independent living and was on her own, it was fine. It was a nice facility. They had nice cottages. It's a really nice facility in that respect. Ever since we moved into the main facility (the big house), the facility has been poor. It's because they never reclassified her. She moved into the main facility or into the apartments after she had a stroke. They never reclassified her or anything. They just put her in a room. Then they found every excuse, every way to possibly ignore her. A lot of that is the staff. They still have a few experienced people that have been there for a while. For the most part, the staff is incompetent. They don't give them good direction, either. The management there was really bad because they don't ever correct any problems. They kept telling me for two years when Covid was going on that they would do things that they never intended to do and never did do. As far as activities, they really don't have any still that I'm aware of. They may be doing a few things, but our access into Fountains was very limited. They did do activities, but I'm not sure what they're doing with activities now. They had plenty of amenities there, but my mother can't avail herself of any of those. She enjoyed a little art class they had and her companion was taking her to that every week. The staff had no experience whatsoever. They hire people that have a remarkable ability to not be able to think. They hire people that don't even have any commonsense. They don't train their staff. The biggest problem was they didn't reclassify my mom when she went into the main facility. They left her as an average resident, which she was not. If you're an average resident, they show up if you call for assistance. My mom wouldn't call and I told them that. The problems are ongoing. The food was better before Covid. She has such limited mobility, which was another thing they couldn't seem to accommodate. They're outrageously high priced.

We chose The Fountains of Hilltop for my client. She just liked that community. The facility and the staff are very nice, and the layout is also very nice. It's clean, it is easily accessible, and geared for seniors. They have a wonderful menu, and a wonderful, beautifully decorated dining room.

My mother moved into the Fountains of Hilltop. It's been pretty good, but we're having a few issues with the staff not knowing how to work her portable oxygen properly. Regardless, the facility itself is very nice. Overall, Mother has gone downhill, and she also had a stroke. They were very helpful with any questions I had, and letting me know that hospice was an option so she doesn't have to move again. The food is good and the staff is really nice. The rooms are bigger than the other places I've been to, and cleaner.

The Fountains of Hilltop was somewhat crowded, but it's clean, pleasant, and very upscale. The staff is very pleasant. It was more expensive though and was out of my price range.

They had a very nice dining room where you can pick what you want to eat off a menu. The rooms were large and they had refrigerators where you could store your own food, nice large closets, and you can bring some of your own household items. The add-on costs were pretty expensive, so the price was close to $4,000 for the base price. If a resident doesn't want to go down and have dinner, there's a charge to bring the food to the room. They also charge for bathing as well as helping with medications, so it kept adding up. You could go broke pretty quickly.

We like The Fountains of Hilltop a lot, but they have a long waiting list. Nevertheless, it was very pleasant, and they had very nice apartments. It's a very good community; it's the best place I saw in Grand Junction. They had a library, a gathering place, a place where they watch movies, and a kitchen where a family member could come and throw a party. The dining room looked very nice. They were gracious and showed me around, but it took awhile for somebody to notice that I was there. Nobody had been expecting me.

The Fountains didn't have any rooms available. It was clean and small, and the people were friendly. Their chef is well known. They take them to doctors and Walmart. There were a lot of activities going on every day.

The fountains was very new, everything was very posh, and it was very luxurious in the apartments. By far, they have the nicest accommodations -- very clean, neat, and huge. The price was comparable to the others.

I really like The Fountains, my Grandmother is currently a resident there and seeing her happy in a clean, nice environment is great. She enjoys different activities throughout the week such as crafts, concerts, and other social events. They even take her grocery shopping with the other residents which she enjoys very much. I am very pleased with the staff and the way they conduct themselves and how they perform their jobs. My Grandmother seems to be very happy there. Her room is very nice, bright, and is cleaned daily. The staff there takes care of every beck and call my Grandmother requests. Further, she has made some great friends there, enjoys the food, and really is better off at The Fountains. Not the mention, the location is great and the views of the Grand Valley are spectacular. It is really nice in the evening, when the fountains are glistening in the setting sun. That is the perfect time to take my Grandmother for a walk. She absolutely loves the environment here, and I couldn't be happier that it has worked out so favorably.
