My short stay was for Rehab only. Overall, the facility meets the need of the residents. Physical, occupational and speech therapy staff were/are knowledgeable, supportive and caring. Nurses and CNA's were/are genuine in their treatment of residents. Ensuring medicine and care as their top priority. Facilities admin, support staff and maintenance personnel maintained a caring positive attitude. Dining staff worked hard to accommodate the varied nutritional requirements for each resident. Unfortunately, a demanding and thankless task. Event staff also has the same task in meeting the interest of residents. I believe that the activities are appropriate for the residents. Ensuring that fun, creative and engaging events are planned. Each member of staff were/are excited to share in your accomplishments and to encourage you to be the best person you can be. Sincerely, thank you!

A friend is a resident of Fort Collins Health Care Center, she gets two kinds of therapy including physical therapy. I think that the people seemed very caring, they don't have enough help although it's not their fault. It's mostly for the indigent or a lot of people with no resources, but for what it is, it's pretty good. Our friend is fortunate enough to get a large shared room with a phone and TV. But when you get out of rehab and into the other part of the community, you'd have to supply your own amenities. They do have activities for the residents, they have needlework, bingo and entertainment comes in. I really think they make a good effort. The pricing is probably the lowest one in town, but you get what you pay for.

Unsettling
November 04, 2016
If a patient and/or family has an option to which rehab/care facility they can go to, I do NOT recommend Ft Collins Healthcare. The building is old, dirty, smells of urine, is not welcoming, and not comfortable. There is little to no level of communication, as phone calls are not accepted or returned, the staff have an attitude of disdain and not wanting to discuss concerns, let alone wanting to help. On more than one occasion, when we arrived for a visit, we found our loved one sitting alone in the dark, in a wheelchair, and disheveled. How terribly troubling and depressing ... who can recover in those conditions? Plus, at the time of release (early as the family did not want our loved one to be there any longer) several pieces of clothing was missing and no one on staff had an explanation as to where these were. So very disappointing to put our trust in these "professionals" to care for our loved ones and not get it.

Caution Warning!!
October 05, 2016
I am NOT concerned about warning people about this center. We had been stuffing the 'complaint' box for 4 months trying to get things fixed as my family member could not afford to be at a different nursing home. We eventually learned the supposed complaints were being reviewed by the owners - who lost a patient, that then died while on a walk and they did not miss him until the next morning. Even staff thought the complaints about totally lacking care, sewage over flows, low nursing staff/patient ratios, and so much more were being reviewed by the State or someone with authority to change things. The things that have gone on in this nursing home are simply unbelievable. The list of crazy we could share would caution anyone even considering this place - steer clear of this nursing home!! Just look at its overall ratings.

I take no delight in giving a bad review, however, I feel our experience needs to be known. This facility has a strong urine smell, many nurses seem to want to do only the bare minimum, some were simply very rude. We pulled our loved one out after noticing a change in her condition that had been ignored, which turned out to be potentially life threatening. I do not find this facility to be a caring place at all.
