Holiday Parkwood Estates was pretty nice. I thought they had a lot of good stuff available for their residents. They seemed to have a pretty good layout as far as everything goes. Everything was pretty clean. They have three restaurant-style meals. They have specials and an a la carte menu. The staff members were very friendly. They seemed to know the residents' names and personal details about the people and their families. So, it had a pretty homey atmosphere to it.

We visited Holiday Parkwood Estates. What we found out about that is they don't offer enough assistance. The reason my husband would be going is that he would need more assistance than we felt we could give. He's wheelchair-bound, and we just couldn't take care of him in the home, so we would probably have to put him in a facility so that he gets the proper care at that time. However, they don't give that type of assistance. They were nice, and we enjoyed the time. He liked that facility. They were a friendly place. There's just very little care. For every care that you want, there is a huge charge. We might as well go to a facility that does care for people with wheelchair needs, which they didn't provide. It was nice and clean. The food was good. The people were very friendly and they connect like a family to one another, but it is not set up for assisted living. It's more for independent living. The apartments were very nice. The one negative that I would give is that the shower is very small. There's no room for a seat in there or anything like that. If you're independent living and you don't care, you might not need a seat in there, but for anyone who truly needs some assistance, I don't feel like this facility would work.

I went to Holiday Parkwood Estates, and I was very impressed. The apartments were very nice. All the amenities were very nice. We had lunch there, and it was delicious. The only drawback for me was no kitchen. I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem for a lot of people since meals are provided. All the rooms were good sized. There is no bathtub; it's more of a walk-in shower. For safety, that was really good. Some of them have balconies or patios and some of them don't. I personally would prefer one with a balcony or patio, so you have your own outdoor space. It had a big closet. It was just very nice. They had scheduled activities, scheduled trips, and transportation available all day. You just sign up for it to anywhere you need to go. They have a room where you could work on puzzles or do other activities. They had crafts and things like that scheduled. You could keep yourself busy most of the time. The staff was wonderful, very knowledgeable, very friendly, very upbeat, and seemed to know everybody that lived there. If we pass somebody in the hallways, she'd call them by name. I was very impressed with that. It's an older facility, but it was very well maintained. It seems like they really keep on top of the upkeep. The dining area was very pleasant and very clean. The chef would announce the menu, and the staff would come and take your order. Service was good.

We went to Parkwood Estates. I liked the rooms. The grounds were very nice. They didn't seem to have very many things for the people staying there to do. The kitchens were kind of lacking. They just had a tiny little refrigerator in there, and there wasn't very much counter space. They're just very small. What they could improve on is, I think, they could put a full-size kitchen sink, a full-size refrigerator, more cabinets, and more counterspace in there. The staff who assisted me was wonderful. The facilities were very good. There's a shopping area about two blocks away.

I lived in Parkwood Estates around 2-1/2 years ago. It's a nice-looking building and a lot of trees around it. It's not too soundproof between the apartments, and they tried to mix Mexican and Southwest dishes a lot. It's not New England cuisine or Southern cuisine. I don't care for Mexican food, and they use a lot of foreign names that describe dishes. It's like if you would get in a Mexican place and 90% of the people don't know what the taco's about, and that was the biggest problem. The staff was nice and the housekeeping people. They have a library, pool room, a little gym, and salon. I think it's a 40-year old building, but it's very fireproof, so that was good.

Parkwood Estates was nice, but they're way out of our price range. The staff was wonderful and friendly. They do arts and crafts and puzzles, and they have an open kitchen for all residents to use. Also, it wasn't enough square footage for my friend, as far as the apartment went. It's a very, very nice senior living facility, and the grounds were beautiful.

My mother moved into Parkwood Estates. I chose it just because of the good feel. She's very happy there. She's got a little studio, and it's very cute. The food has been really good. The staff has been really nice. They're on lockdown because of COVID, and then she should be able to start getting the full experience. What's nice about it is it's kind of in between. They've got the dining hall, so she doesn't have to cook. It's independent, but with a little extra help, which is what she needed. They've been bringing food to the rooms because they've been on lockdown. She has breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and she's been thrilled, and she likes it a lot. It's a lot of comfort food like she's used to. She's been really happy with the food. They're gonna start activities again. They had some COVID cases, so they were on lockdown, and they're just getting out of lockdown. They have already signed her up to do PT, and they're gonna have some other things going on. They're having an Easter egg hunt, which her great, great granddaughter is going to. They're doing what they can under the circumstances. It's older, but it's very clean. Her studio is really nice and very clean. They've maintained the facility really well. My husband's parents were in the same kind of deal, and it was more than twice as much, so I feel it's a great value for money for what Mom's getting at Parkwood Estates.

I went to Parkwood Estates a month ago. It was nice. They have one-bedroom or two-bedroom apartments, a salon, and ride sharing.

Not a very hospitable environment to live in. The women at the front desk, is terribly rude to visitors and residents alike. Individuals have been physically assaulted by other residents where the police had to be called in. Multiple residents have had to be evicted due to their extremely bad behavior. The food is only fair as we have lost multiple chefs due to poor working conditions and cannot seem to keep good cooks. The facility is very dated and desperately in need of new paint inside and out. Most all of the carpeting in hallways, dining area and common areas needs replacing. Think again before sending a loved one to Parkwood Estates.

The residents are great. Staff is great. The food needs improvement. They have dinner and lunch menus reversed. We need better dinner menu. I like sandwiches for lunch but not for dinner. One time only I thought I’d died and gone to heaven when there was a baked potato, fish and vegetables. Please better dinner menu’s not lunch menu for dinner. Everything else is great.

My mother has moved into Parkwood Estates. Everything has been great. She said she really likes it there and everybody is so nice. She likes the food, and all the staff has been very accommodating to us in every way. I don't have any complaints about the place at all. They play card games, Scrabble, Wii, bingo, cooking activities, bocce ball, golf, and balloon volleyball. They have a GPS system that they wear and they can push the button if they have an emergency. The meals I had were good. She can also ask for a half order because she doesn't eat a lot. She is in a studio and it's bigger than others and more in her price range. Even though it's an older facility they have maintained it well. Her room has a walk-in closet, and it's very clean and attractive. The carpets have been cleaned and the walls looked fresh when she moved in.

We visited Parkwood Estates and really liked it. It was really nice, and the woman in charge of sales was very pleasant. It's probably the place for my parents, but they're not ready yet. They have three meals a day and complementary rides. The staff seemed very nice, and the apartments were clean and nice. It was an older property, but they remodelled the apartments.

I thought Parkwood Estates was good, and the staff members that I met seemed fine. The rooms there were adequate. They had also invited me to go back there. In terms of activities and amenities, they have several things going.

I visited Parkwood Estates, but the gal was new, and she was not very nice. She told me she's been doing this for 28 years. I thought the prices were too high and she suggested I go to a place next door where there were a lot of parties going on. I did not like her attitude at all. The apartment that I saw had a sink and a refrigerator, a little patio, a bathroom, but it was way too small for the two of us. The place was a lot older too compared to the other ones I saw. The person who was in charge of exercises and activities was very nice and very informative. The lady who gave me the tour could take a lot of lessons from her.

My dad lived at Parkwood Estates for about a year. They would provide meals, housekeeping, and if you wanted to have a PT or OT, they had in-house folks available. They had daily activities, like light or gentle exercises and guest speakers who come in to talk about books or history once a week.

At Parkwood, I did not get the full tour, but the staff was very friendly, and the place was nice. It was in a country setting and was not as modern or contemporary. I would say it needed updating, but some people want it that way.

My mom was in Parkwood Estates. It is totally independent and didn’t do anything with the residents. They had meals with them, but they didn’t go get them for activities. They’re on their own there, but my mom has too much dementia. The location and the facility itself were nice.

Parkwood Estate had a really nice floor plan, and everyone was really friendly and nice, both the residents and the staff. I liked the dining area, where the seniors were enjoying themselves. The apartments were great and had a kitchen, living area, patio, and a separate bathroom with appropriate senior measures for safety. It had a pretty generously sized bedroom that was separate ,and everything was staged nicely, so you could really get a picture of someone happily living there.

When we were looking for a place for my mom, Parkwood Estates was available. The staff were friendly. The rooms are clean and spacious. As for the activities, they have exercise programs, social programs, and music programs. The overall atmosphere in the facility is nice, though the food is not very good.

I chose to stay at Parkwood Estates because it was close to home, to the hospital, my church and my doctors. The location was convenient for me. The apartment I had was nice and I brought my own furniture. The services were good and the food was decent enough. There were different activities for the residents. But maybe they could improve on the food a little.
