We visited The Palisades at Broadmoor Park. We looked at the assisted living. It was amazing. They knew everybody's name. Things were clean, and they were happy. Everything sounded just exactly what you would want. There was nothing with it except we couldn't afford it. The upkeep was good. The layout was very logical and efficient. Everything was nice. It was spacious, clean, and bright. We were given a tour by one of the administrative staff. Every person she walked by, she knew their name. She wasn't a nursing person, she was an administration person, and she knew their name, and I was pretty impressed with that. We looked at the menu. The dining room looked clean, it had enough space, and it was bright.

My sister is a resident of The Palisades at Broadmoor Park. It's very clean, very homey, and relaxing. And the staff is wonderful. They're very welcoming to people. She has a very nice apartment, and the food is very good. We truly do not have any complaints at all about it. They have movies, bingo, and games. They really have a variety of things and they're very good about that. They send me something telling me what the activities are going to be. The staff is very, very nice. I think they certainly offer a lot; I think that you get your money's worth. We chose this place solely because it is close to my daughter. I'm not here all year long, so my daughter is around to make sure everything goes well. That was one of the deciding factors -- that it is close to her.

The Palisades at Broadmoor Park was very nice. It was set up well. The guide showed us the dining room and the halls. She showed us two different types of apartments, too. She was very informative. It seemed very homey. Of course, not very many people were there because of the COVID. We got to see an isolated part because we couldn't be around people. The staff was very kind. They would leave some messages and they got back to me. They have transportation, and they have overnight staff that will check on the residents. At the end of the tour the staff gave us some cookies that the chef there baked. Those were really good. The building was really well kept.

I would like to live at The Palisades at Broadmoor Park. Generally, they're very beautiful but they have limited Medicaid units available. It's a great place. They were caring, congenial, and generous with their time. It's a wonderful place. They were playing dominos and poker. The activity schedule was nice and well rounded for almost every interest. They had a beautiful gym, a pool, and dining rooms. The dining area was lovely. The chef showed us around, it was open seating, and the menu looked very good. The community rooms and elevators were clean and very well kept. The outside was very beautiful and inviting, and there were benches to sit on. The parking lot was adequate.

The Palisades at Broadmoor Park was very nice, but it was too expensive for me. The person who gave me the tour was very kind and accommodating. The place looks really nice and comfortable. I saw the dining area, and it looks very nice. When I was there I saw residents sitting around watching TV and a class was also going on. The apartments were nice and the size is also good for me.

I recently made the decision to move my mom into the Palisades. We toured 3 communities in the area and ultimately chose the Palisades. While friends of ours have told us how hard this would be (choosing the right place) we found the decision easy once we came to Palisades. We truly knew it from the moment we walked in the door; from the person who greeted us, the care staff who seemed to care we encountered, and the nurse and executive director we met along the way. Moving her has truly taken my daily worry for my mom away. I didn't realize how much I was worried until she moved in and I was able to see the care she is receiving, how much better she is doing, and the friends that she is making. We made the right choice and mom has found her forever home!

The Palisades at Broadmoor Park was very nice. The rooms were not quite as updated but the staff was really wonderful and it looked like they had lots of activities there. The residents were really happy with the food.

My family has looked at many locations in the springs to find placement for my grandmother. Some are nice and we liked the location but when it came down to it, location wasn't part of our decision. It was the genuine feeling of care and compassion we saw at The Palisades. Our tour was very thorough and respectful of what our family needed and Jenn Nimmo was so concerned about my grandmothers safety she even messaged someone to set up home health immediately while we are considering our options. We did have lunch and were served a very good meal, I must admit I thought it could have been too good to be true. Now that Nana is settled, I know we made the right choice. Tara the director has followed up with us several times to make sure the move went smoothly. I highly recommend The Palisades to anyone considering assisted living! It is beautiful and so worth the extra drive to know how well my Nana is being cared for.

The Palisades at Broadmoor Park was very nice and clean, but they did not have the things that would fit Mom's needs. The staff who gave me the tour showed me two rooms, and one of the rooms was very small. I met one member of the staff, and she was friendly. The dining room I saw seemed small, but they have a dining room on each floor.

My mother is at The Palisades at Broadmoor Park. We like it because it’s not too big, and the location is close to the family. They are a few activities each day, but she doesn’t go to most of them. They can improve on their communication because I don’t always get what I ask for and things don't always get done. Otherwise, everything is pretty good. She has a beautiful view of the mountains.

After visiting a dozen or more retirement communities for my parents I have to say Palisades is by far the best. The location is absolutely beautiful the ground are well maintained and the staff was excellent. I look forward to moving my parents in!!

The Palisades is a very nice place. I would say the Director and the Health Service Director, who is kind of the Head Nurse, are both extremely competent. The food and dining setup are very nice. They are right on the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, so it is a very lovely setting in the first place. The rooms looked out upon the mountains or the city side, which isn't quite as attractive, but it is a nice part of town. So no matter where you look, it is not bad. Just looking towards the mountain, I'm sure it is extremely beautiful. They have a number of different types of room choices depending upon the size of rooms you want and whether you would like a little sink or microwave. They do all the cooking for you, do all your washing, and everything else. If you got your mind well enough that you still kind of want the feeling of having an apartment, you have all these different choices. For improvement, they need training for their hands on staff. That is the primary thing I have an issue with.

The Palisades was very quick to respond. They called me immediately once I registered and asked me what they could do to help figure out what would be the best placement for mother. They were very flexible in trying to accommodate my schedule. They had a schedule of the weekly activities on the wall, and they were interacting with the residents. Their little van has just gotten back from taking the group on an outing.

My mother is a resident of the Palisades...I am her daughter and live in Connecticut. I could have brought my mother to Connecticut to live near me, but a resident of Colorado, she felt more comfortable living here. So I visit as often as I can. I am always amazed by the reception staff who helps me schedule transportation to dr. visit for mom, the hairdressers, the activities staff creating fun things for the residents to do with their day, to the nursing staff who promptly return my calls and/or come in to work on their day off just to meet with me when I come to town! Anyone who works in assisted living does so because it is a "calling" like the young man who works the dining room and is always telling the residents a daily joke to get them laughing. I trust that my mother is in great hands when I leave, and she feels safe and secure....that is just what I want for her! Thank you Palisades!

I have worked with the staff and owner at The Palisades for several years as an advisor who helps secure veteran's benefits. I have always found them to put their residents' needs first and have worked to provide the best in care services. A partnership with the University of Colorado brought innovative physical therapy approaches that significantly improved the well-being of the residents. They frequently host community meetings to share the latest information about issues of the aging population and what families will need to consider in the future. I believe the recent change to MBK Senior Living is a positive move forward as it builds on the ideas of the previous owner and adds a broader understanding of how to best serve our community. I think they are well on their way to being one of the best senior communities in Colorado Springs.

I am quite dissatisfied with the Palasides. They are very understaffed and the turn over is constant. I feel badly for the care givers that are overworked. The food is very low quality, the communication from staff non existent and the medical help very bad. I will say the apartments are quite spacious and also has upgrades but that is the only positive.

My Mom has been at the Palisades for the past 3 years. The first year was her best, then it was bought out by a large corporation, MBK. Since then there's been a whole lot of turn-over in the management level and the care staff has been like a revolving door. Care Staff training, the number and variety of activities and food are all below par. Rooms and bathrooms are nice, common areas are nice (not enough of them) and the staff are nice, but young. They seem to charge the highest in this market and are definitely not worth it. I recommend looking elsewhere.

I have a whole lot of caregivers that do care. A few that you like to kick in the butt. For the most part, the staff is very good and consistent. There's not a big turn over. The dining room is just fine. The food is so-so, but it's what they serve in the entire complex. It just comes and goes. Since I came from independent living and I've been very busy, I haven't participated in activities very much. But I think they're pretty routine, like bingo.

The place was very nice, but I'm not ready for it right now. You have to bring your own furniture. They have hairdressers. They have exercise room, they have everything.

We did get to visit The Palisades at Broadmoor Park for my mom. Right now, she is staying in her place but if we do go, she will be going there. We also have some old friends, some neighbors that moved in there recently. It is very close to where my mom's neighborhood is. The facility is a little bit smaller but not as overwhelming as some other big places. For us, they have a good location. The staff was very friendly. They were very nice. Their marketing manager was very nice. We had brunch while we're there and it was very nice. They had good food.

The employees are very enthusiastic and helpful however there is not much to do. The activities are bland and my grandma is bored there. Maybe it is because she is bitter but she complains about the food as well. The amenities are subpar and there is not much to the facilitie.s There is a room with a piano and a place to sit and do puzzles and knit but other than that there is not much else.

This is a very nice facility with a great staff and well-appointed living spaces. The Palisades At Broadmoor Park has a great wellness program that is designed to keep the residents healthy and active so that they can preserve their independence. Besides physical fitness, they have a cognitive wellness program that helps residents stay sharp and have fun at the same time. The private apartments can be customized to suit any style and they are roomy and comfortable. There are several different styles of apartments available, some of which are over 500 square feet. One of the things that I loved most about The Palisades At Broadmoor Park is that they allow pets, which makes the residences friendly and homey. I joined the residents for dinner and was impressed with the quality of the food as well as the cheerful atmosphere. The building and grounds at The Palisades At Broadmoor Park are elegant and welcoming and are quite well kept. I would definitely recommend this facility.
