I volunteer as a companion and advocate for the elderly. I have been to the Sage Home on several occasions. It is a home that was converted into an assisted living facility. It backs up to a horse boarding facility which can be viewed from the living room. The home is very cozy, including a fireplace and pets-two parakeets and a dog, which the residents seem to like. I believe the dog belonged to one of the residents. The home is a good size, with only a handful of rooms, and the residents seem to get along. The downstairs has bedrooms and an activity area. The caregivers are very nice and are sincere in their concern for the residents. Almost every time I have visited they were in the kitchen cooking. The menu is wholesome and the home is very clean. I like the "homey" feel. From my visits, the residents are well taken care of and some have expressed how they enjoy where they live. The last time I visited, Most of my visits were around the same time of day and I found most everyone hanging out in their room or in the living room. The rec area below is very nice and I always wondered how often they really used it. Overall, I would feel comfortable with my own family living there if the circumstances presented.
