My dad is in a facility called MorningStar Assisted Living & Memory Care at Jordan. He moved in six weeks ago. It's very well-run, but it is understaffed. You see a lot of signs of it being understaffed. Of course, that's the same with everything nowadays. I would say that's my only complaint about it. The services they provide are as good as they can be, considering there's not enough people there. His room is well kept up. We provided the furniture. They have bingo. They have happy hour, and they have other things that I don't know about. In general, Dad is fairly happy with the activities they have there. He is finding things to do. Their dining area is understaffed. It is very clean, and the food is good. They don't have a lot of what their menu says they have, and that's the understaffed part. There is limited selection. The staff itself is good, but the problem is they're overworked.

My father moved into MorningStar Assisted Living & Memory Care at Jordan. It is a warm, caring environment. They addressed all of the family's concerns, were very thorough in paperwork, medication and health assessment, and great as far as COVID precautions are concerned. He's in a studio, and they have a wide variety of rooms. They do at least weekly drives just to get out of the facility in small groups of three or four, so everybody can still get out even though they're locked in. They have happy hour, bingo, cards, and trivia. The food is excellent from what I hear from them. I think they have a courtyard, a physical therapy room, an activity room, and a chapel. He was quarantined for two weeks, and he said the food that they brought him wasn't as good as the food that was served hot, but he said it was excellent. It's not the cheapest place, but it's not the most expensive either, so I think it's moderately priced and it's good.

My father was a past resident of MorningStar at Jordan. It's a good community. I'm pretty pleased with it. The rooms were average. We had to have hospice bring in a bed and provide some basic furniture, but the size of the room was fine. We hooked up his TV. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. They had programs, events they're going to attend, games, and other activities. They had a common area and places to go and talk.

I spent two weeks last month visiting a loved one (so as a guest in the dining room had about 20 meals there). I lost SIX POUNDS). The residents were lovely and the staff overall was wonderful. But, the food was neither. Seriously. Looking forward to eating anything anywhere else

I’m going to use MorningStar at Jordan for my mom. It looks like a hotel. The staff is very nice and are like cheerleaders. They bake cookies every afternoon. They have a nice church inside. They have a facility where you can work out. I really liked it. It’s in a busy area, but right across the street is a bakery that my mom loves. They have areas where you can sit outside. Everyone goes to Village Inn on Wednesday because you get a free pie. The rooms are very nice. They have a small kitchenette with a full refrigerator so she can have some of her own stuff there. I like MorningStar at Jordan because it’s more affordable.

I am mixed on how I feel about MorningStar at Jordan. It is a very nice facility with extremely friendly and caring staff, but there are a few processes that are not the best. The food is adequate and mediocre. There are sometimes lapses in minor things like emptying the trash, but nothing major in terms of the care, although my mother needs minimal assistance. They have been slow to response to calls to my mother when she uses her little call button, but overall, the management is caring and trying. The major problem we have is that my mother experienced theft from her apartment of several thousand dollars worth of gem stone rings, and that is a concern to us. I am not implying that there is a lack of any kind of caring concern or processes on the part of the management, but somehow there are several wings that were stolen from. However, I am not accusing anybody of anything because I do not have any more specific information than that. They reported it to the police and the State Licensing Agencies, and they're doing whatever little investigation they can do. Again, it is a very nice facility and the people are caring. I just think they just need to work on some of their processes, but they are improving.

I was impressed by MorningStar's layout and architecture. It was a very nice, fairly new facility. It was very nice, very comfortable, and very homey.

My mom is at MorningStar at Jordan. We chose this one because it is very close to my house, it is new, and they have vacancies. They also have a very nice caring staff. My mom is in a brand new apartment, so it is very nice. The facility itself is outstanding. Food is good. They are in a transition of getting a new chef, so for the last couple of weeks, they have been not quite what they have expected, but they are in the process of finding someone new. They have some outings to go to restaurants, they have a life enrichment room where people can make puzzles, and they have some performers who come in quite often. I think they offer a lot of stuff, although not everyone participates. They have a nice little theater so they can watch movies and have some activities in there. They also have a chapel. My mom has been there for three weeks.
