Emerald Oaks is a large Mediterranean-style retirement facility in the quiet southern suburbs of Yuba City, CA. Seniors can take in beautiful views of lush orchard surroundings while being only minutes away from churches, shops, and eateries.

This assisted living community is staffed around the clock by qualified caregivers and has a licensed nurse in house. Residents have access to speech, occupational and physical therapists as well as medication management and personal care services. A secure memory care wing is available, as are home care, hospice and respite services.

This elegantly decorated community has high ceilings and large windows for a bright and open atmosphere. Amenities here include an activity room, theater, beauty and barber shop, and library. Seniors can relax alone or chat with friends in one of several sitting areas, some with fireplaces and others with televisions. A courtyard is available, and residents can work in the garden or take in the fresh air.

my mother-in-law is a resident there. my wife or i visit her twice a day. i see how the staff cares for my mother-in-law but i always listen to what is going on in the hallway and other rooms. the workers and management are WONDERFUL!!! they are so friendly to visitors and residents. i can not speak highly enough. this site gives a max of five stars. i would like to give them ********** . many workers have told me that the residents are family

We toured the Emerald Oaks Senior Community. It's a nice community, just very nice, very caring, but it was just too high priced for us. We saw the rooms, they were nice rooms. It was shaped like an L. The only thing we didn't like about it was the communal shower. They had all the normal stuff, places for people to go play games and things like that. It felt more clinical though. The staff was nice and caring. Most of the people ended up having roommates because they were able to split the cost of their rooms. But if you want a separate room, it's pretty expensive. It's nice, it's been refurbished, renovated, but I thought the other place has a much better feel for my mom.

I had an in-person tour of Emerald Oaks. The physical appearance was nice. The rooms were clean. The sheets were clean. The administrator was very nice. She provided all the information I needed, and I voiced my concerns to her about my mother yelling and having some issues. She assured me that my mom was going to be okay in there. They have activities for the seniors, and they gather in a circle. They give them activities to move their arms, feet, and legs. They play games with them. The room was set up nicely. My mother's going to be in a shared room, so there are two beds. The bed is clean. The place is very nice. Everybody was nice. Even the patients there were nice.

My father-in-law is staying at the Emerald Oaks in Yuba City. We chose it because it had an opening at the time and the price was right. A representative from the family could visit, but because of the Covid, only one was allowed to see inside. From the outside, it was very well-kept and beautiful. He doesn't need much help, so we don't need to pay for anything extra because he is still able to get to the bathroom. He is not happy with the food though. He doesn't use his teeth, so he is having a hard time with that. For activities, they have Bingo and music. Only a doctor goes in there right now because they're on shutdown again. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and they try to engage him and try to make him feel welcome.
