Oakmont of Varenna is very nice. I visited it when I was up north, and it was quite impressive. It looks like a cozy community. You get one meal a day. They have gardens if you're interested in little garden boxes, and they have a movie theater and library. I saw two rooms, two units, and they looked very nice. I only met one staff, and she took me around. She seems to be very knowledgeable. I spoke to another one on the phone when I first made contact, and they seemed very friendly. The place looks wonderful. It looked beautiful, and everything was lovely.

Varenna in Sta. Rosa was great, and it’s where we would like to go. It’s the best place we’ve seen in California and probably Arizona. We liked the architecture and the quality of the people that lived there. We liked the setting, the variety, and dining facilities. We liked the fact that they had a gym and an indoor and outdoor swimming pool. We liked the fact that they were friendly toward the children, the way it’s maintained, and the continuum of care available. They have active senior community association. They have activities going on the community, and they have various clubs.

Everything at Varenna was beautiful except it was too expensive. The staff was fine, and they have a pool, golf, clubs, and movies for their activities.

Varenna at Fountaingrove was lovely. It was absolutely impressive. I liked it very much. I liked the individual casitas and all that. The reason I did not go there was that it wasn't in my community. I wanted to be close to my friends and where I lived now. My visit was wonderful. The staff could not have been nicer. It was a beautiful place and the staff was wonderful. The lunch was wonderful. I could not say anything negative.

Varenna at Fountain Grove was very fancy and not for us. Our visit was not a good experience because he was trying very hard to sell us the idea of the place, it really wasn’t for us, and he was not listening to what we were interested in. So, we did not want anything to do with that one. We had a complete tour, and we were not impressed at all. We saw the whole place, and the person who was selling to us was very pushy and insisted on showing us every little detail, and we weren’t interested in it. It was not a good experience for us. It was a very lovely place, but it was not welcoming to me. Other people might have different opinions because there might be interested in other things that they saw there.

Varenna at Fountaingrove is very nice and excellent. It's like living in a country club. Each room has a small but full kitchen. Meals are included. There is a movie theater, swimming pool, exercise room, beauty salon, crafts room, and game room. The view is beautiful. The facility is adjacent to a golf course that residents can use. There is also a lake with little boats that residents can use.

I visited a place called Varenna. It was frankly a nice facility. You can get a bigger place or a smaller place, a little care or a lot of care. It has a lot of amenities, and I think it is probably one of the nicer ones that you would run into. It was a very nice place. If you can afford it, I would highly recommend it.

We were satisfied with Varenna. I liked the lifestyle and amenities that they had. The whole community was fine. It was clean, well maintained, and well kept. Everything was excellent. It was one of the better ones I had looked at.

We've been to Varenna at Fountaingrove, and their food is lovely. It seemed like they have recruited people to come from many other places because we didn’t see any familiar faces, and it is just near to where we live. They built it to be absolutely gorgeous. Their rooms are lovely, and it is very nice, but we just didn’t feel very at home there.

Varenna is updated; the room is about 22 square feet, and they have beautiful grounds. It is located in a nice neighborhood with a golf course. The staff is excellent and very accommodating, however the food is mediocre. They had a swimming pool, gym, and exercise classes.

Varenna at Fountaingrove is like living in a five star hotel. The thing is you have to be independent when you go into this facility. The food is pretty good in this facility. You pay a certain amount for your food, and then if you don’t use it at all, you can invite your family and friends to come and eat to use up the money.

Set among oaks high atop the rolling hills north of Santa Rosa overlooking Fountain Grove Lake, Varenna is a gated retirement community offering residents beauty, comfort and security.
This senior living facility includes a three-story main building with 75,000 square feet of community area plus two additional two-story apartment buildings and detached homes nestled among rock out-croppings, live oaks and landscapes commanding vistas of the surrounding countryside. There are spectacular surroundings, spacious floor plans and beautiful Italian architecture.
Varenna is a community unto itself with a gift shop, box office, computer and business center, a movie theater, bank, library, salon and day spa. The community offers a fitness center (yoga, pilates, water aerobics), a wellness center, bocce court, arts and crafts, pet parks, card room, along with trails to a nearby park, a garden club and tram down to the lake and private dock with boating. Weekly housekeeping is provided.
There are popular monthly events, tours and excursions and a monthly calendar listing a variety of other activities. On-site staffing is provided 24 hours a day, and all utilities are included except telephone service. Continental breakfast and a generous allowance for meals are also included. There is a 24-hour emergency call system, valet service and a fitness program. Chauffeured town car transportation is included in the monthly fee.
