There was a lot of energy and stuff going on at Heritage Pointe, which I did not see in the other places. The people just seemed happy and there seemed to be activities going on. That's very important for me. They were so friendly among themselves, which was nice to see. It seemed like a very relaxed place to be. I think the apartment was just right, too. They had a pool and quite a nice view.

We're settled at Heritage Pointe. I'm in the independent living, and my wife is in memory care. The basic premise of this community is it's a Jewish lifestyle. They have three meals a day and they have a kosher kitchen. We have an onsite rabbi and a synagogue. We have the basic elements of the lifestyle for somebody who is interested in maintaining their Jewish faith for the rest of their life. You can't always go by the care you're getting now because of the pandemic, but they have a very dedicated staff. Even with lockdown, they're delivering the meals to our room. It's institutional food, but it's edible and it's good. You can have as much as you want and you can have as many things as you want. They give you anything you want to eat.
Normally, they have all kinds of activities, entertainment, and games. We have a library, a fitness center, a music room, and arts and crafts. It's really a good community. The maintenance and cleanliness are absolutely perfect. The housekeeping is continually monitoring the premises and it's kept in a pristine way. You can eat off the floor. Right now, we're locked down. I'm satisfied with the value for the money. The thing that is most poignant at this time is that their number one value is the safety and health of their clientele. So far, we've had a pretty good record in so far as having COVID delta or omicron. They constantly test us for it. They test both the residents and staff. They're very cautious about exposing our people to dangers. So far, we haven't lost anybody to COVID.

My husband and I have lived at Heritage Pointe for 7.5 years. We wanted to move here while we were still independent and able to take advantage of ALL that it has to offer.
We enjoy the wide-ranging classes, the lectures, the Rabbi's offerings (services and classes and holiday events), and the entertainment. We are very grateful for the vigilance the staff has shown in following the pandemic guidelines; as a result they have kept us safe! Most of all the HP Residents are warm and friendly which makes for a truly loving community!
