My tour experience at Terraza Court was very pleasant. It was clean. I could see that the seniors were happy, and they had good interaction with each other. I was looking at a memory care unit, and there was one-on-one individual care taking place. I feel that it was a nice one in the city. The staff was friendly. They seemed to be very capable and willing to help anyone that needed any type of special attention. It seemed like they had well-developed programs for different needs, depending on the needs of the participant or the seniors. It was what classes they attend and how they interact. It was more based off responding to their needs. Some people needed more attention than others, but some of them seemed to really be able to participate on their own without any guidance. They just followed the instructors. Some were large classes. Some were small classes for the ones that needed more help or more supervision. They did a good job of judging who goes to what activity. I did not try their food, but I could see that the setting was more of a restaurant or cafe type setting. I saw some people having a meal, and they seemed to be very pleased. It looked inviting. It wasn't a new facility. It was an older facility that was refurbished.

The layout of Terraza Court was awesome. The community was very clean and very safe. It's a lovely area. We liked it very much. It was easy to get to. The guy we talked to was very nice. He was very informative, but it seems like there were costs that were hidden. We had to continue to ask in-depth questions to find out the information that we really needed. The dining area looked very nice, too. The actual floor where they keep the memory care residents was also very nice. There's a movie room, and it looked like they had a bingo activity. I noticed that they had a calendar posted of the daily activities, so that was good.

Terraza Court was really nice, it was actually the one I was going to move Mom to until I saw the other community. It was just because of the pricing; they're just slightly higher, that's all. The grounds were not as large as the other place I toured. The facility was very nice, it's a five to six story structure, they had private rooms and shared rooms, and it was very clean. The staff appeared to be very accommodating, and nice, and I really liked the facility. The person I was working with was very informative as well, and I was impressed. I observed the residents participating in some activities while I was there. They had a room for that, or designated areas where the residents could participate in different activities.
