Setting the standard for senior living for the past three decades, Regents Point is a full-service, continuing care retirement community of 400 residents in the heart of Southern California. Centrally located next to a 347-acre nature preserve and the University of California – Irvine, our community is the ideal home base for exploring the many attractions Orange County has to offer.

Regents Point is owned and managed by HumanGood, a nonprofit public benefit corporation serving older adults since 1949.

Featured Amenities

There is never a shortage of fun things to do at our community and residents can often be found taking a dip in our swimming pool, practicing their swing on Regents Point’s very own putting green, sweating in our fitness center, getting creative in our arts studio or enjoying a game of lawn bowling.

Our luxury accommodations come in a varied selection of both apartment and villa floor plans. Depending on the layout, residences feature private bathrooms, walk-in closets, kitchens or kitchenettes, dens, in-unit washer/dryers and patios or balconies.

Regents Point has a bizarre financial structure where you put in money, instead of paying rent every month. Supposedly, you put in $140,000 to settle a buy-in and if you outlive that amount, they support you until you die kind of thing. I think it's a really religious place, because they started out as a support for ministers for a certain church, and then they became a non-denominational. Their facilities are kind of exciting, and the people were also nice. I just don't like their financial structure.

I recently visited Regents Point. I was impressed with the community it has all the levels of care. The independent living was very nice, the staff was very friendly. It's near a shopping center and next to Mason Park, so the environment surrounding was very nice. My tour guide did an exceptional job she was knowledge and very accommodating They have flexibility in the rooms, which made it unique. I thought the Assisted Living was very nice. They had a variety of activities. What most impressed me was how happy the residents smiled as they said I've been living here for years. The best decision I made. Very nice community!

Regents Point had all the care levels. The independent living was very nice, but it has a large buy-in. It's near UCI and next to Mason Park, so the environment surrounding was very nice. The rooms were nice, but a little bit smaller. You could get a one-bedroom, and if you wanted to have two bedrooms, you could get the one bedroom next door, and they would make those into one unit. They have flexibility in the rooms, which I thought was pretty interesting. They had a ton of activities. They kind of reminded me of a country club.

We visited a friend at Regents and it’s a very nice place. It was big enough and very convenient. My friend loves the place.

Regents Point might be good for other people, but not enough for me. It was too isolated and too many old people there were walking around with their walkers. The rooms were decent but they don't have a full kitchen. They had activities. They had a nice courtyard. But I just didn't like it.

Our visit there went fine. The staff was accommodating. They were very helpful and they gave us all the information that we need. They were very nice people. They didn't do anything bad, nothing naughty. They did invite us to sample their food but we couldn't stay. Well, I didn't see very many residents there, but they looked okay. They were walking around. The facility was fine and it's clean.

My wife and I moved to Regents Point almost 8 years ago. We researched the CCRC's located in this area and decided that Regents Point had the most to offer. Active life style, beautiful Mason Park, UCI campus, Barkley Theatre, Bren Athletic Center, UCI Medical School interactive activities between seniors and medical students. Availability to take senior classes at UCI and other nearby Community Colleges. Close to John Wayne Airport. We have season tickets to Laguna Playhouse and Regents Point provides transportation. Close to Orange County Performing Arts Center and the vast array of Artistic venues offered. Regents Point also provides transportation if there is sufficient interest in the program. Hoag Hospital Newport and Hoag Irvine are very close. St. Joseph's is convenient. Doctors and other local medical facilities are nearby. Regents Point has transportation available for Medical Needs. Since Moving to Regents Point we sold one car and only drive about 6,000 miles a year on the one car we have. Public and private transportation is readily available and because of the close proximity of everything the cost is very reasonable. It is one of the best decisions we made in our 49+ years of marriage.
