I am beyond pleased with the efficiency & professionalism of the Director of Admissions, Mariah. She was a godsend when trying to get my mom transferred out of a facility that was beyond negligent and into Pacific Grove Healthcare Center. She was patient, informative, and overall amazing. Since arriving, my mother is significantly better all around. Just the bright, and open layout of the facility has her happier. The friendliness and trusting demeanor of the stuff has her more relaxed and at ease. I would recommend Pacific Grove Healthcare Center to anyone looking for a top notch Skilled Nursing facility in the Monterey area. You and your loved ones are in great hands here!!! Thank you again Pacific Grove Healthcare Center, & Mariah for everything!

've been to a lot of difference physical rehabs and this one is the top of the list. At first I was skeptical because I have never heard of it. to the people who prepare food the nurses Freddie, Carmelita and Jessica and nurse's aides Larry, Benny and Miguel are excellent friendly kind and nice the managers Monique, Letty, Patrick and Mariah really care and do their job excellent the food is so good and the doctor that work with me while I was there was caring understanding .I give this place a 9 out of10. They healed my wounds and got me home.

My father is in his final hours. We are under hospice care and allowed to visit. The rules seem to change daily on how we can spend these final moments with him. This has nothing to do with the wonderful nurses and staff only to do with a young clueless social worker named Mark who acts like he runs the place while DON Jenny sits behind office doors on her cell phone. We love this place and have not had ANY trouble until now. The most scary, anxiety filled, final moments of my dads life and we can’t have the simple peace we deserve in this moment. On final note I was kicked out with my family’s service animal who has been visiting my dad everyday for the last year. One in which I have a Dr.s note for to be by my side at all times ESPECIALLY during the hardest time of my life. You may see this reported on the local news as well.

This is the worst place that I have ever seen. It is filthy, the staff is lackadaisical, and non-caring. I would never recommend a place like this to anyone.

My mother was a resident at pacific grove convalescent hospital. She was in the last six months of her life and needed assistance with her everyday routine. The staff was incredibly caring and compasionate, they took my mother's case personally and got to know her quite well. Not only did I feel her healthcare was adequate, I felt her nurses really went out of their way to learn her likes and dislikes, and really spent time talking to her and being a friend in what I'm sure was a scary time for her. One nurse "Nancy", would even pick up my mother's favorite hard candy from the local grocery store and bring it to her as she could no longer drive herself to get her goodies as she so much liked to call them. As my mom's disease progressd, I felt their resolve hardened. Eventually she succumb and many of her nurses showed up to her funeral on their own personal time. I can vouch that pacific grove convalescent hospital was not only a clean environment, but they care about their patients. That means a lot in today's world!
