About This Community
Like the small town that it serves, Autumn Ridge, a 27-unit assisted living residence, mirrors the local sense of concern for the safety and well being of each resident.
Large enough to provide many of the amenities of larger assisted living communities (beauty salon, dining room service, choice of suite sizes, private bath), Autumn Ridge remains small enough to provide a warmth and assurance that each resident receives personalized service in a setting of gracious hospitality.
Remember the warmth and charm of small town America...tree-lined streets...the hourly chimes of a nearby church bell...friendly businesses along the main shopping avenue...the echoes of a passing train whistle in the middle of the night...

I had a friend that I visited in Autumn Ridge, and it was a very nice place. It is beautiful, but sometimes when we go to visit her, it smells like urine. They were very nice though. I just walked in and took our lunch, so I never really dealt with them. All we said was 'hi' and 'goodbye'. When it comes to the food, I just know that she was complaining about it. As I remember, the price was pretty reasonable.

We visited Autumn Ridge. We saw a 1-bedroom, which was not big enough for a bed and a chair, and my mom would have to share a bathroom. She would have to go out into the hallway to use the bathroom. For me, it was for people who did nothing. The man we talked to was very nice, but he wasnt really telling me what I needed to know, and I would have to ask. They have a crash room, and a place where you can watch TV, but it felt like an old folks home, and not a senior living facility. The location was an advantage to us.

My parents' room at the Autumn Ridge is actually small. The staff is really good. I don't think that they have a full-time nurse because it seems that for any little thing, they always call on paramedics like if somebody had a cut on their arm or minor things like that. I haven't tasted the food, but it looks really good. The rooms could be larger, and maybe the staff trained a bit more on first aid or medical stuff.
