I spent one night here until my primary told me to leave due to lack of procedure knowledge.
The food is incredibly horrible.
Was brought there from the hospital by ambulance who put me in my room. Waited 3 hours before anyone came to see me. The staff claims to be short handed but its hard to believe when i press my call light and i can hear the staff outside my door talking and laughing and slowly walking in my direction, and after 20 to 30 minutes they show up. Pressed my call button at 5am for my roommate, took 45 minutes till someone showed up.
Finally saw my assigned doctor the next day at 6:00am where he didn’t want to answer any questions and told me that we’ll talk on Monday, this was Friday. Total time spent with me, 3 minutes.
This was something out of a bad horror movie and I wouldn’t send my worse enemy there.

Poorly staffed, isolating, ill trained staff, tried to hold father hostage because understaffed to discharged, poor food, no meaningful rehabilitation, staff did not appear to treat father as a “person”

The food is insipid,unimaginative,boring......Something needs to be done. The patient is unable to eat....I am not sure how he is expected to recover if he does not get the proper nutrition...

I went to Palo Alto Sub-Acute & Rehab Center because it was recommended to me by the hospital, and that one I ended up crossing off my list. The staff working there was pretty OK. I had fallen a few times, and then I also had knee surgery, so I was there and I did not really have a choice. I did not like the food at all. In fact, I lost 20 lbs, and a friend of mine who was also there described it as sour food. We both did not like the food; it was really bad. People ate in their rooms. "Come on, give me a break; get us out of our rooms." Security there was good. They had activities, and they put out a calendar. They had Bingo and a couple of churches visiting. I had problems with the communication, and I found this problem in every nursing home that I was in.

I like the facility's individualized care plan for their residents meaning everyone has different cases, different situations which they have their own needs that requires specific care.
