I would definitely place my mom or dad at this community. They have a large selection of independent living apartments and have are finishing construction on a three story apartment complex with granite countertops! This is owned and supported by a local church so the rates are very reasonable. The complex also has assisted living, skilled nursing, hospice, and Alzheimer's/dementia services. The dining areas are spacious and clean with menus that are varied and include a fresh salad bar. I was really impressed with the dementia facility because of the no barrier bathrooms/no mirrors, which were designed with guidance from a gerontologist. This portion was recently opened so they have plenty of availability. They have a small kitchen for the prepared meals, but residents are allowed to help with clean-up. Pets are allowed as long as the resident can care for them. They have an indoor pool and whirlpool housed with a physical fitness center that is staffed; they allow area seniors to use the facility. The residents in the assisted living area were clean and there weren't any odors (although I was informed that early morning is when you'll detect any odors at any facility). I was given a tour by the facility administer who was very nice and knew the names of the residents and their families. The only negative was the assistant administrator who wanted me to make an appointment for a tour in a slightly unfriendly demeanor
