Not very good at answering phones. I called 5 times this morning and the phone rang between 15 and 30 times before I was put on hold TWICE for 10 minutes. Very frustrating when you're trying to call and check on your family member. I finally gave up and sent them an e-mail to complain. They really need to do better. This is not a one-time, isolated occurrence. I am sorry to say.

Excellent nursing care. All the staff there is very polite and quick to answer the call lights. They show how much they care about the residents and the CNAs go above and beyond to their job and make sure every resident has the best care.

My mother was supposed to be there for 4 weeks for post hospitalization care, but I was forced to remove her early. The staff is incompetent. My mother did not receive her vital medications the entire length of her stay. The staff was unapologetic and rude. She had a wound on her foot ( she's diabetic) that was supposed to be cleaned & treated daily that was not. I observed staff ignore patient call nights for long periods of time. When my mother needed her rescue inhaler, it took the LVN over half an hour to respond. The lack of quality care and education amongst the staff is horrifying. Please, do not send a loved one to this place. Since removing my mother 24 hours ago, she is back in the hospital with fluid in her lungs (a result of not being given her medication) and severe anemia. The state dept. needs to do a surprise check up.

This is an older skilled nursing facility with about 176 beds. The entrance is flanked by two older houses used as offices and storage. They were preparing for a special Xmas event with photos with Santa, fake snow, giants gifts, and carriages. I appreciated their effort to do something special for the residents and their families. There are different units for either temporary skilled nursing needs to long term care. There are ample areas outdoors for smokers. Some of the areas have water fountains or bird cages. The food that I saw looked like standard hospital food, but it smelled good (I got there at lunch). The only downside were the odors; tolerable but noticeable. The staff seemed friendly enough, but I no one knew who had authorized the lady and her two granddaughters waiting to hang a little Xmas bag of goodies on the room doors. I would recommend this place, but I'd shop around first
