Wine Country Care Center was very nice and clean, although not as clean as the other place we visited. I thought it needs updating as far as the carpet and stuff goes, but the staff is very friendly. The residents were not as nice as the other community, but they're OK.

For the last year this place is getting bad. They as in the CNA'S do not do they're work as they use to. They let the patients lay in there wait and poppy paints for over an Hr. or more. They have lost there compaction for the elderly. And it doesn't seem to help when you report any one to the office. And when was the last time my mother has had her hair washed? When I came over to see her at 10:30PM her nighty was wait and poppy. They didn't change her tell I got there after my mom called me to ask for help. All I get is excuses and lies out of these CNA'S. And the staff will still from my mom.

The staff at Wine Country Care Center was wonderful to my mother. She had a shared room, and it was spacious. It was like a big hospital room. They would come to her room and take her down to eat. The nurses would sit with her when she ate. Their dining room was fine. They have singing and other things as they also try to keep their residents busy.

My mother-in-law was in Wine Country, and we felt that the facility was really clean. All the nurses and nurse's aides there went out of their way to make sure that mom was comfortable and that she had her meals and medications on time. They were friendly, and they seemed to care about the patients. However, the building had been there for a while; maybe they could modernize it a little bit more.

Stay away from this place, thieves everywhere! My mother-in-law was here for rehab on a fractured hip. Being that she still had her faculties, we bought her a portable DVD player and some movies. Within 24hrs, stolen. Brought her some books, a portable electronic poker game, and her rosary. Stole all but the books within 24hrs. KEEP YOUR LOVED ONES OUT! Spoke to the RN Supv about this, she told us it was beyond her control and we have no proof it was her staff.

My Father was in the Alzheimer's unit at this nursing home. Alzheimer residents are locked in the unit 24 hours a day. This is so they don't walk out of the doors of the home and get lost. I would describe the care at Wine Country as just ok. The care would be much better if they had more staff. There just doesn't seem to be enough CNA's there, which is the case at many nursing homes. Although they do have the required amount of CNA's that is required by law. For the most part the nurses at Wine Country seem to be friendly and try hard to give good care to the residents, some caring more than others, but like the CNA's, they just don't have enough of them. The facility seems to be clean enough. The food is balanced and nutritional. Some residents receive special diet meals. There is an Activity Director at the home as well. She plans events for the residents, although my Father didn't really participate in these events, because of his diminished mental capacity.
