We moved into Meadowbrook about ten years ago - one of the first. We could not believe the quality of all aspects of the Village - really first class design and construction. The pricing was quite less than the many other places we looked at - I told them I hope you know what you are doing, but was assured that the place has been totally paid for and has a good financial plan. I was elected the first Chairman of the Residents' Council and can vouch that is true. Wonderful neighbors. We are so fortunate to have found this place!! They have all levels of care and great amenities.

My husband is on the waiting list of Meadowbrook Village is a lovely place. The facilities look beautiful, and the person who gave me the tour was good. They had a guitar player singing Christian music while we were visiting there.

I liked Meadowbrook very much. They were very hospitable. It was a very nice facility that would be something that I would consider. They have nothing available right now, but they are building, so I am going to go ahead and get myself on the waiting list. I know some people who live there who are very happy, which is why I went to look at it. They like the dinners and have taken friends to dinner; they had us for lunch, which was very nice. They seem to have a lot of activities depending on what you wanted to be involved in. The grounds were very nice. I am disabled and have a scooter, and I went around the grounds, which was very nice. To me, it was more like a little community and not the hospital type of confinement. I was able to look at one apartment because a friend lives there. It was very nice and would be some place I would definitely consider.

We visited Meadowbrook and put our name on their waiting list because they had cottages, but they told us they very seldom turnover, and they had a two year waiting list. It was very nice, very well-maintained and had a pool, a very nice, large restaurant, and you pay for what you eat. The meals were around $8, which was reasonable. They had underground parking, storage facilities, and allowed pets only in the cottages. It is a well-planned place, and they're adding around 60 more units, including assisted living.

Meadowbrook Village had a hobby shop that they said they could make a space for me in there. It's mostly woodworking, but they also had some metal work. It's a very interesting place to me because I'm a tool freak. My daughter was with me going there, and we both liked it. I just object to the big upfront cost, but its continuing care setup is desirable. The facility was OK, although it's spread out. If you lived in some of the places, you'd almost have to have a bicycle or a golf cart to get to lunch. They had a big apartment block with a lot of individual residences that were scattered around. It's like a little town in itself. They also have a waiting list, so you have to put your application in, have it approved, then stand in line for an expected time of six months or more.
