This facility looks nicer than it is. The building and facility and location is nice. The staff is not, there are 3 decent people there. Upper management is not qualified to run this facility. There is a high turnover in the care staff. Many of the staff are over worked (work 6 days) training of staff and communication is horrible. Nursing staff is slow to respond. Food is not elderly friendly I.e. always serving spaghetti for pasta, big chunks of meat and vegetables in the soup that need cutting, salad is big leaves that need to be cut etc. Menu has not changed in 5 months. Same items rotating. Activity director is a strange character, activities and excursions are often cancelled. Put your loved one elsewhere, the sales staff is not honest.

Sunrise of Pleasanton was very nice but a little sterile. It seemed a little cold. I liked the staff that we talked to. She was a great lady. The dining area was very nice. We saw a karaoke activity going on, but the only people singing was the activity director.

We visited Sunrise of Pleasanton for my brother, and our visit there was really good. The staff was really good. Everything was brand new, so it was all very nice, and the rooms were like a regular-sized apartment. The dining area was very nice, big, and like a restaurant with very good food. They offered them a menu with choices. They had a lot of daily activities, exercise room, and game room. They had bingo and social hour.

Sunrise of Pleasanton made every effort to accommodate us. It was very clean, very open, and more homey. It had a great outdoor area for sitting, indoor patios, and a nice lunch room. We worked with three different people who were great and knowledgeable about everything they provided. The dining room was open and like a larger restaurant with round tables, open seating, and wasnt noisy, but people were having conversations, so it was nice to see. People came in who did entertainment, like singers and musicians. They had a bus that would take them on day trips and doctors within the area, and the mall is a block away.

Sunrise of Pleasanton is a wonderful and caring environment. The people were wonderful and showed us everything. I really appreciated it and believed my dad would thrive there. The rooms were not too large, but it was just the right size. There's also enough space for a bed, clothing, and TV. The rooms had a nice view. They had a beautiful restaurant-type area for them and the lunch was wonderful and had really good food. It was geared towards old people. They had an exercise room. The layout of the place was good. The staff who toured us was wonderful.
