My aunt is at Claremont Senior Luxury Apartments. It's a very nice place as far as the apartments. The management staff is pretty helpful. It's an over-50 community and you are relied on to do your own grocery shopping, go pick up your mail at the office, and all of that kind of thing. You have to be independent to live there, but the facilities and everything are very nice. Her apartment has a very small kitchen. It does have a stove. She does not have a bathtub, although she wanted one, and I believe some of the rooms do have bathtubs. She has a two-bedroom apartment, and it's pretty good sized and adequate. It has a closet for a washer and dryer, so you do your own laundry there. The air and heat is good. You're able to get cable and wi-fi, and all of that is extra, but it's easily available and everybody has a parking place and outdoor parking type thing with the awning or cover. There are some small park areas where people get together and talk. There is a swimming pool and a jacuzzi. The workout room could be better, at least in her section. I've been happy with it so far. These types of facilities are best for people that are engaging others. If they're in their apartment by themselves all the time, it's hard to kind of make sure everything's OK. This isn't necessarily good for them to be isolated mentally either. You prepare your own food, so it's completely independent. There is a van that will take them someplace once a week. There are some shelves with books on them, but they're just donated books from people, so it's not like a wide library at all. The pricing is not cheap, but it's reasonable.

Claremont Senior Luxury Apartments is our go-to, but they don't have any place open. They're pretty reasonable. It's just a single story. It has a full workout room, two pools, a spa, and covered parking. It's very well maintained. The staff is very helpful and very friendly. The architecture inside, just the way it is furnished is not state-of-the-art. It's not up-to-date. It appears to be a little bit more dated and a little bit more ordinary. They don't have food. It's nicely landscaped and there's a pretty good-sized clubhouse at each pool. It's a gathering place where you could get a few dozen people in there. It's pretty nice. It's our very first choice.

We placed our daughter at Claremont Senior Luxury Apartments. She’s in a wheelchair, but she’s getting some help. It’s like semi independent-living. If she would fall out of her wheelchair, they would come and help her up and if she has to go to the doctor, they take her. Eventually they have somebody that will do the grocery shopping for her if she pays them a fee. If you want extra assistance with bathing or grooming, you have to pay extra also. You have to buy your own food; that’s not included. The apartments are not dark. She has a nice spacious apartment that has 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, a living room, and a kitchen. They have nice facilities, and they have a community clubhouse where they do activities like they play bingo and cards. Tomorrow they’re having a Halloween party. She’s happy here because she can be independent. She can just go in a wheelchair and get her own mail from the clubhouse that has the community mailboxes. She can go and talk to people if she feels like it. If she doesn’t feel like it, she doesn’t have to so she still has a lot of freedom and privacy which she likes. We are very impressed.
